So the WHOLE movie is being trashed because of HALF A SECOND that may cause offence?
Seriously, it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment!

Also because right leaning Tim Allen was kicked to the curb in favor of left leaning megastar Chris Evans. Plus the media controversy of how the kiss scene was made, and then omitted, and then put back in again. Disney is bipolar, to say the least. Get woke, go broke as they say.
shareNOBODY WAS KICKED ANYWHERE...TIM ALLEN IS ONE OF THREE ACTORS TO PORTRAY BUZZ NOW...HIMSELF,CHRIS EVANS...AND PATRICK WARBURTON WHO VOICED BUZZ THROUGHOUT BUZZ LIGHTYEAR OF STAR COMMAND...GUESS WHAT?...NOBODY SAID SHIT ABOUT TIM ALLEN GETTING KICKED TO THE CURB WHEN WARBURTON TOOK OVER.
shareWell rightfully omitted in China cut, but then put back in to the American cut because Disney believes they can say fuck you to family values in the US but bend over for the communist Chinese and their family values. That has been a big problem with Disney in lots of movies, bend to the whims of the communists and tell the Americans to fuck off.

A LOT OF THOSE FAMILES ARE HEADED BY,CONTAIN OR KNOW GAY PEOPLE.
My nephew is gay. He's got a boyfriend. They're a great couple. But if those two swap spit in my company I will beat the snot out of them. In other words, we support them because they are born that way, but we just don't want to see it.
Remember when sucking up to the Chinese was the un-American thing to do? I miss those days.
shareThe character of Buzz is not the same character in the Toy story films. One is a toy and the other is a living being in that fictional universe. The two characters do not require the same voice actor.
shareI know exactly who and what the characters are. And in real life, nearly all talking dolls made from movie/show characters use the same voice or a close replica of it (unless it's a cheap, made in China knockoff). So that excuse is just what they made up to deflect from the real reason why Tim was not asked to voice Buzz. The filmmakers would NEVER EVER let the real reason come out of their mouths.
shareThey don't have to say it. We know what the reason is - they don't like Tim's politics.
shareIt's what it is that matters. The elapsed time is irrelevant.
sharebut it's still a thing that's in the movie, & it's still annoying & really kinda offensive to me. i won't go see it because of that.
sharepretty much. for people who claim to never be offended by anything, they sure do get offended easily
shareWell how many things have been changed, cancelled, renamed and taken off the air due to people being offended by it but when people are offended by this then its and issue.
Bit hyopcritical isn't it.
