Place your bets: Who kills Cersei?

Of course she's got to die, the fans will rise up and riot in the streets if she doesn't! And the show included the prophecy that she would have *three* children who would predecease her, which has already happened, and then someone younger and more beautiful would take everything from her. Of course the show didn't include the part that said "the valonquar (younger sibling)" would be the one to kill her, not that almost everyone in Westeros isn't a younger sibling or a member of an order that calls itself a brotherhood or sisterhood. So eldest siblings are eligible, too.

So far, the chatter seems to favor Jamie as the one to kill her, and "Brienne the Beauty" as the one to take her queen's crown away. But I like my dark horse entry: Dario! Maybe he and his SECOND SONS are among the mercenary companies that came from Essos.

reply

Because the show did not mention the Valonquar, Arya will do it. She's the go-to killer now. And the show will ignore the fact that Cersei is way more beautiful than Arya.

reply

Well, remember that the "younger and more beautiful" person who will take everything away from Cersei isn't necessarily the same as the one who kills her. Arya would love to kill Cersei, but she'd join the Silent Sisters before she'd agree to be queen!

And I'm calling it now - Frankenmountain kills Kyburn. The mad scientist is ALWAYS killed by his own creation!

reply

I don't know if this has been said but what if Cersei dies in child birth like her mother.

reply

I posted on another that Qyburn is killed, Arya uses his face to get next to Cersei and kills her. Then says "the north remembers".

reply

Or Jaime dies and Arya uses his face.

reply

This could work too

reply

Ohhhhhh!!!! I love that idea! That would make the entire thing worth it! "The North Remembers!" Yes! That's a good idea!

reply

Arya uses his face to get next to Cersei and kills her. Then says "the north remembers".

Not bad, but the punchline is too obvious. What about something like "the power of Christ compels you" or "you have two right feet, ha-ha"

reply

Probably, they are using her to kill everyone. Jaime is going to kings landing, but I think instead of him killing her, he professes he still loves her, but Cersei follows through on her plan to kill him and then Arya kills Cersei.
.

reply

'If Cersei does not die we riot!!!'

I hope it's Jamie, that would make for an emotional scene

reply

I really wonder how this is going to go for Jaime now. He has survived the battle in the north and helped them. But now they're going after the love of his life...is he going to remain fighting with the north or jump sides again?

reply

Cersei will kill Jamie.
Dani will kill Cersei.

With these writers they’ll think Arya already had her “big kill”.
But it would of made more sense for Jon to kill the Night King, and Arya to kill Cersei...

reply

this.

reply

Yeah, I think Daenerys is the most likely one to kill Cersei. But she was told by that witch that someone younger and more beautiful would take everything from her, not that she'd kill her - as usual there's more than one way to interpret prophecy. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of her supposed allies like Euron Greyjoy stab her in the back. Literally. If they could get Sansa to do it somehow, and deliver the line another poster here suggested, "The North remembers", that would be pretty badass. Maybe her sister could give her the basic Wearing Faces 101 course during the trip down from Winterfell so she could get close to her target. She starts peeling off her face, you're expecting Arya, but then ... surprise!

No, that wasn't a serious suggestion. Just having some fun. They really can't have Arya do it now. Apparently Maisie Williams herself thought it made more sense for Jon to kill the Night King and Arya to kill Cersei (who she was already on her way to kill before she got sidetracked). But that ship has sailed. If she takes down both of the show's arch villains they'll have to give her a blue and red spandex suit with a big S on the front.

reply

Arya killing the NK just felt wrong with all those seasons Jon being the only main character focused on the NK, along with his resurrection and all their stare down challenges... and Arya never even knew he existed until returning to Winterfell. But there it is..
So it really can't be Arya that takes down Cersei now.

Sansa will stay in Winterfell so it's doubtful she will play a role.
The one that would hurt her the most would be Jaime.

reply

Fair question but I think he's smart enough to know she's a snake in the grass...switching sides again would be suicidal

reply

I hope you're right. I don't want to see him go back to her!

reply

Sansa

reply

Sansa already had her "big kill", when she fed Ramsay to his human-eating dogs.

And Cersei knows better than to trust her for so much as a millisecond.

reply

Arya kills Cersei wearing either Jaimie or Tyrian's face.

reply

Wow, so unpredictable! No one has ever come up with that idea!

You're a genius man. You should ask HBO for a writing job. They gave those 2 imbeciles a job, so your chances should be pretty good too. Hey maybe they'll let you write for that show about the Confederates winning.

[/s]

reply

I'm not trying to be unpredictable. I'm sticking with the prophecy that says she'll be killed by her brother. Arya deserves another kill.

#$@&%*! the Confederate POS who hated the United States and tried to destroy it. Traitorous scum should have been shot for the traitors that they were.

reply

Since when do these writers give a shit about prophecies? Didn't you see the shit they pulled last Sunday? The Prince that was Promised meant nothing.

reply

The witch's prophecies were accurate. The prophecy didn't say HER little brother. It said "the Valanqor" aka THE little brother. I'm revising my answer to Jon Snow to be Cersei's killer. He is the little brother of Rhaenys and Aegon and it would allow him to have justice for Ned's death, too.

I believe the "Prince that was Promised" is the brat that Dany's carrying. She was holding her belly the way pregnant woman do in a previous episode.

reply

Well...to be fair, they didn’t go into detail about the Azor Ahai prophecy in the show. Nothing about that it’s someone from Rhaygars line, or that the term is gender nutral etc - I think the only thing mentioned in the show was that “he was born in a night full of ashes and salt” or something like that. And I don’t remember them saying anything specific about the night Arya was born 🤷‍♀️
Also, at least in the book, there is the prophecy about the three headed dragon and Arya killing the NK could fall into that one.

reply

Prophecies were always a load of hooey for the weak minded. Not sure why fans think they're set in stone by God Himself.

reply

There's a reason they showed that flashback to the witch for sure, unfortunately the show didn't include the part about her being killed by a sibling. I wish they had.

reply

Cersei's killer will be a major story development and I'm not sure if the TV show will move too far from the books. GRRM is still the TV story consultant.

reply

No one will kill her. She will escape with her baby and start the cycle again. Her baby will return one day to get his/her kingdom back.

reply

I like that one.

reply

Sansa will kill her, because that will "subvert out expectations" the most. Also, since the Night King was lamely killed, John reees at icedragons for no reason, Tyrion is an idiot who has almost been written out, Bran sits in his wheelchair and does nothing, it seems the show is entirely about the women now. A two little girls killed an icegiant and the Night king in the last episode, and the big bad has now been switched from the Night King to Cersei. So yeah.

reply

Jon is a loser, so he doesn't kill her. Daenerys wants to kill her, but I think Euron Greyjoy has a chance of killing her before he takes off. BTW, Cersei has a miscarriage. But I like your theory of Dario coming to Daenerys rescue.

reply

Tyrion - after Bronn explains that Cersei paid him to kill Tyrion.
