New mistake I’d never noticed… The slow-mo shot of Affleck Kirk Douglas Danny Devito as a Director Jerry Goldsmith Really hope this movie is good for Sam Raimi’s sake. The “Monster” What a bummer that James Horner isn’t around for this.. This’s fucking awful. View all posts >

Totally agree. So many great ideas. Although I do love the tow truck car chase with the surf board ending in part 2 just as much. This was the first Stephen King book I read as a kid & loved it. Still do. I agree. Wasn’t a fan of his acting either. Like he stepped out of a hallmark rom com movie. Not a fan of this movie, but that crash scene still holds up. It’s a great example for why models & props look so much better (& real) compared to CGI. I saw the latest Star Trek Beyond recently which has the enterprise saucer crash into a planet & it was totally lame compared to Generations crash. Miss real FX… I’m with you. When I first heard Tom Hardy had been cast as Max, I thought that could work. I mean, no one can replace Mel Gibson in the role, but Tom Hardy seemed like the right direction. Then I saw the movie & totally agree with you. I was glad the movie focused more on Furiosa because Tom’s Max was just bland… At least Hardy wasn’t doing that silly high voice thing that he’s been doing in a lot of movies lately. Speaking of actors lying about their age to be in movies, Lawrence Fishburne lied about his age to be an “Apocalypse Now”. He was only 14. Wow, I just never imagined the landing ship was that big to have that size of an escape shuttle. Always thought it was connected to the refinery. And you’re right about the mist. Thanks, man. Yeah, but Dallas couldn’t be at the one in the shot, because he was still on the planet at that time. Are you saying that the ship they flew down with was that huge? That it had an escape shuttle? Always thought the shuttle was on the refinery ship. Same here. Totally caught me off guard, like how did I never notice this… Totally agree with you, but don’t forget “Pet Sematary” 1989. It definitely captured the mood of the book. View all replies >
