Conservatives Talk Radio Listeners

Seems the board is being flooded by these people talking about crap that has nothing to do with the movie. And yes, I know they are talk radio listeners based on the terms they use. I consider myself conservative on some issues and liberal on others, but injecting politics into something that is not political in my opinion is something amazing to see.

I don't understand the logic of these people, but I am slowly seeing a pattern.

-- Any movie that shows how blacks were discriminated against and overcame that discrimination is considered "liberal propaganda."

-- Racism died because Barack Obama became President of the United States.

-- Racist white people do not exist anymore. Only black people are racist.

-- Black people are racist because they have BET.

-- Black people are racist because most of them voted for Barack Obama.

-- Barack Obama is a racist because he hates white people.

-- Everything bad that ever happened to this country was caused by Democrats.

-- Republicans have always been perfect and never do anything wrong.

-- Any black person who mentions racism is a racist.

-- Any black person who calls racism out (whether real or imagine) is a "race hustler" or a "victim."

-- There is nothing wrong with racial profiling (as long as it doesn't affect my race).

-- Affirmative Action is causing white people to lose their jobs to "unqualified" minorities (even though whites dominate in every job category and are the majority of all college students).

Did I miss anything?

i dont listen to the radio or watch the news much but i would venture a guess there arent many outlets for conservatives to choose from so they have to support the ones that are available.

i know racism is probably never going to leave totally but when Wanda Sykes is at the naacp image awards spouting out how so and so was at the white ppl awards when naacp never has a white person nominated then you can see how it seems black ppl have a double standard.

Maybe he doesn't answer to Chuck. Call him Charles. Charles!

Oh really?

Bryce Dallas Howard - The Help
Emma Stone - The Help
Angelina Jolie - In The Land of Blood and Honey
Sandra Bullock - The Blindside
Justin Timberlake - The Social Network
Sandra Oh - Grey's Anatomy (although she is Asian)
Lucy Lui - Southland (although she is Asian)

I know you guys want the NAACP to be some mythical black KKK sooooo bad. Nice try.

If you were on the "Lincoln" board last fall and winter you would have seen several right-wing posters claim the movie "Lincoln" was nothing but liberal propaganda.

And you also would have seen said right-wing posters argue that Abraham Lincoln ( A Republican president) was a lousy president because he

1) Forced the southern states to remain in the county against their will.

AND

2) He caused the national debt to rise.

The whole freeing the slaves thing didn't impress said right-wingers.

I love liberals and Democrats: They give the responsible people of America something to laugh at. Of course, it's an expensive laugh since so many liberals and Democrats are on the tax payer's dough.

@apregister08...

Nope, that pretty much sums it up.

And not just this board , but practically every message board on the internet

I've heard similar complaints. But being fairly conservative myself, I thought the arguments against the film were incredibly foolish. There's no political message, the film is not anti-white and if anything the conservative complainers should be grateful that a Christian man like Branch Rickey was portrayed in such a positive light. 42 is a great film and, for any historical inaccuracies, a great tribute to Jackie Robinson.

I can't even listen to AM anymore - not since the 70's, I would guess, when music really switched over to FM. I listen to NPR, IPR, the BBC and any other international news I can. Then I read all of the news sources I can so as to make as an informed a decision about an issue as possible. Because humans are involved, there will always be a slant to any journalist's story. But it is obvious that the "news" that channels like Fox or talk radio news stations disseminate is blatantly distorted to fit the extreme conservative point of view.

Prejudice is ugly, and there is no such thing as a little bit being acceptable. That's how I feel and that's what I believe.
