Does anyone want to review a script I wrote titled "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy"?
Here's the plot... "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy" Length: 120 Pages Tagline: Fear has a chain reaction… Plot: The year is 1971. The Vietnam War is starting to slowly come to a close. But on the homeland, strange things are happening, and people are disappearing around the areas of Travis County, Texas. There, six buddies going on one last camping trip for the sake of old memories are lured into Sheriff Hoyt and Thomas Hewitt’s clutches. A terrifying fight for survival ensues that eventually leads to one of the most shocking, depraved, and chilling endings in cinematic history. Can you handle the legacy of fear? The Skinny: There is some violence (but its not overdone) and all the Hewitt family members are in it (including Henrietta and Jedadiah, where it explains their origins) and there is also a new family member named Edwin (in respect to Edwin Niel, who played the Hitchhiker brother in the original). Also, don't think you know the ending just because its a prequel...
So far over 300 IMDb users have asked to read the script and have had it sent to them!
**If you Private Messaged me with your e-mail I have sent you a confirmation message that the script has been sent. If you posted your e-mail on the message board your user name is listed shortly after your post under one of my posts, along with the other people who were sent the script at that time. Because there were so many users, the list of users on this post had to be taken away. If you asked for the script and it was never delivered for some reason please feel free to ask again. New readers, of course, are encouraged to read.** reply share
Okay, I'll bite. Fanscripts are usually like long AIM conversations that go nowhere, but the feedback you're getting makes it seem a little better than that.
Hey, djbm150. It has taken me a while to finally post a good reveiw hasn't it?
Anyway, there are some things in your script that I'm not the biggest fan of. Another survior besides Erin. Erin was the only known survivor of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. If there was another survivor, don't you think he would be mentioned in the remake or the remake website? Of course, if you want it to be more of your original story rather than sticking strictly with the remake series thus far, its ok. One more thing, if it were me, I might have given Thomas more screentime. Of course, everyone has their own likes and dislikes in horror movie characters and Hoyt can talk after all, but still, don't you think Texas CHAINSAW massacre should focus on the guy with the CHAINSAW?
Now there is one thing which would have been cool to put in the remake. Instead of hacking Leatherface's arm off like Erin did, Dan might have outsmarted Leatherface more than physically deafeated him and locked him in the freezer. And while I'm not the biggest fan of that etiher, its better than having Thomas with a missing arm and at least Thomas could have got out when the workers came back (and then killed the workers, lol).
Anyway, most of these things have to do with my own personal opinion, but keep up the good writing and let me know when you get a new script up, ok?
Also, thank you to Luthraphobia. I'm glad you liked my version of "Hills 2", but unfortunately I've had to put that particular story on hold for now. I hope you enjoy "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy"!
I have sent a copy to luthraphobia

I have not forgotten about your script, "The Craze", however I still am looking over it. The past couple of weeks have been out of control for me and I am looking forward to sitting back and reading "The Craze" and enjoying it sometime this week. I will not forget about it and hopefully soon I'll be finished and I'll let you know what I think - so far its very entertaining!

This sounds interesting! [email protected] Thanks, Have you tried sending this to New Line, or even Dimension, I heard Dimension was interested in the series. Pertaining to The TCM Movie.
I have not sent the script to New Line because they never asked for it. The only way they will read it is through an online petition, but I don't know how to set one of those up.

I am going to write another fan-fic, and for this next one I am going to either remake or re-imagine an old slasher flick from the early 80's. However I am going to leave it up to you guys on which one I should write. The first concept to get five votes will win. Here's the list...
**NOTE: These are all existing films that I am going to write for a different story. Some are very similar to the originals and some only share the title. If it is a remake than it is basically the same, but if it is a re-imagining a lot of things will be different.
Terror Train – High school athletes on a trip through Europe to see the Summer Olympics must fight for their lives against a trio of escaped psychopaths from Bulgaria that have boarded the exact train that the athletes are on. **Complete re-imagining of the 1980 Jamie Lee Curtis slasher** DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE RETURN FARE… YOU WON’T BE COMING HOME TERROR THAT’S OFF THE RAILS!
My Bloody Valentine – When teens are told they can’t hold their annual Valentine’s Day dance due to a series of grisly murders which dredge up the town’s dark secret, the teens take it upon themselves to hold the party in the town’s underground mines, not knowing that a killer lies in wait. **Remake of the 1981 holiday themed slasher classic** THERE’S MORE THAN ONE WAY TO LOSE YOUR HEART A BROKEN HEART IS THE LEAST OF YOUR WORRIES… LOVE HURTS… A LOT!
The Funhouse – Six friends dare to spend the night in a Halloween attraction which is held at what many believe is a haunted house where a series of murders once took place years ago, while the teens soon learn that something much more sinister is living in the house. **Complete re-imagining of the 1981 Tobe Hooper chiller slasher** PAY TO GET IN… PRAY TO GET OUT. THE FUNHOUSE JUST GOT A LITTLE LESS FUN AND A LITTLE MORE DEADLY.
Just Before Dawn – After a college kid inherits land and a house deep in the mountains of Oregon, he takes four of his friends up for a weekend of repairing the house and partying, but their weekend of laughs and fun turns to terror when a family of hermits living on the land reveals their murderous instincts to the teens. **Partial remake of the 1981 George Kennedy slasher classic** WILL ANYONE SURVIVE THOSE HOURS [JUST BEFORE DAWN]?
Graduation Day – Seniors of a prestigious high school all from different cliques are being killed in gruesome ways by a lunatic whose reasons for killing them all have to do with the murder of a girl just one year beforehand. **Partial remake of the 1981 slasher hit** YOU SURVIVED HIGH SCHOOL, BUT CAN YOU SURVIVE [GRADUATION DAY]? WHY ARE ALL THE SENIORS DYING TO GRADUATE?
The Burning – A pedophile living in an apartment building gets badly burned when the building catches fire, and after five years of treatment he leaves the hospital as a horribly disfigured monster to get revenge on the kids that escaped him the first time around, who are all now spending their days at a summer camp. **Partial Re-Imagining of the 1981 Weinstein slasher flick** DON’T LOOK, HE’LL SEE YOU. DON’T BREATHE, HE’LL HEAR YOU. DON’T MOVE… YOU’RE DEAD!
Happy Birthday to Me – A teenage girl who has just returned to school after a freak accident is experiencing bizarre blackouts which for her turn even scarier when her friends all begin dying in mysterious ways just before they plan to celebrate her 18th birthday. **Remake of the 1982 slasher starring Glenn Ford and Pamela Sue Anderson** THE LAST BIRTHDAY THEY’LL EVER HAVE! THE PARTY’S GONNA BE KILLER
The Prowler – An ex-Vietnam veteran who murdered his girlfriend and her love in a jealous rage thirty five years earlier at a 4th of July dance returns to stalk three beach-bunnies who are planning on re-starting the tradition of the dance. **Partial Re-Imagining of the 1981 gruesome classic directed by Joseph Zito** IT WILL FREEZE YOUR BLOOD! IF YOU THINK YOU’RE SAFE… YOU’RE DEAD WRONG.
Madman – As a vengeful detective attempts to hunt down a serial killer known as “The Madman”, the Baker family on a camping trip to try and rebuild their family become the next targets of the ruthless killer. **Complete Re-Imagining of the 1982 drive-in classic** THE BAKER FAMILY LOVED TO TELL GHOST STORIES… UNTIL THEY BECAME ONE!
Visiting Hours – After a teenage girl survives an accident in which a crazed driver tried to run her off the road, her two best friends attempt to try and find out who exactly tried to kill her, not knowing that the killer has not finished and has come to the hospital which she is currently recovering at. **Strong Re-Imagining of the 1982 Video Nasty starring Lee Grant** THERE’S NO CURE FOR MURDER… MAKE YOUR LAST VISIT COUNT
Slumber Party Massacre – A group of teenage girls at a slumber party discover that a blood-thirsty killer is targeting them. Is it the weird neighbor? The escaped psychopath? The subtle detective? Or someone else entirely… **Remake of the 1982 campy-slasher film direct by Amy Holden Jones** CLOSE YOUR EYES FOR A SECOND… AND SLEEP FOREVER! THE ULTIMATE DRILLER KILLER THRILLER! HE’S GOT THE DRILL AND HE’S READY TO SCREW!
The Mutilator – A wealthy college kid who was responsible for the death of his mother twenty years earlier brings his friends on a trip to his beach house, only to learn that his vengeful and hate-filled father has arrived in town looking for more than an apology – he’s out for blood! **Strong Remake of the 1986 slasher film** BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER. BY KNIFE! BY SAW! BY AXE! BYE, BYE!

I would love to send you the script if you PM me your e-mail address - its far too long to send over a private message.
man knight,
I was always thinking about a sequel to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy", maybe revolving around what happens next to Nick, Colin, and Laurena (the three kids in the end). But what I would love even more is for someone else who likes writing scripts and who is a fan of the series to make their own sequel, which could revolve around those characters or the hitchhiker from the remake or a whole new set of characters. If anyone would want to do that let us all know and we can look forward to it. There could be five stories in the series.
1. Erin and her friends from the 2003 film "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" 2. The Events in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning" 3. The Events in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy" 4. The Events surrounding Nick, Laurena, and Colin. 5. The Events surrounding the Hitchhiker.
Let me know what you think, and if anyone wants to write a sequel they should!

I have thought out a plot for a TCM movie/comic book, and after reading your script, it would take place after The Legacy. (And after Nick, Colin and Laurena.)
There are three main characters (unnamed for the time being): a middle-aged father, his 25-year-old daughter (a single mother who's divorced and a bit of an outcast in her hometown because of that), and her son, who's about five or six. They're driving across Texas to visit their mother (the father's wife) who has cancer and is in a hospital. Their car breaks down, and they are taken to the Hewitt house by the helpful Sheriff Hoyt. They will be killed quickly (no Leatherface chase in the end) and very sadistically.
// Btw, the single mother character is the same girl from one of my drawings, and I wanted to come up with a back story for her.
I’ve just finished reading TCM: TL and I thought it was amazing, it seemed really real. I also liked the fact that there wasn’t some blonde girl as the surviving heroine, in fact I liked it that it was all-male, it made a change. I liked what you did with Hoyt, he was great and that you named Edwin after the guy who played the Hitchhiker. I was a bit disappointed that he got stabbed as I liked him though. Anyway, still great.
I didn’t think it was too gruesome or anything because I like seeing a lot of violence in movies but I guess I am quite twisted in that sense. Also, if it has the words ‘Chainsaw’ and ‘Massacre’ in it it’s supposed to be. Are you planning on writing anything else??

This is not an unsolicited script, this is a work of fanfiction. It's completely legal as long as I don't try to get money from it (since I don't own the title or characters). And if someone who were interested in buying the script got their hands on it and then used its characters and such in their own movie than that would be illegal as well. For instance, if Michael Bay read "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy" and didn't purchase the script but in his next "Texas Chainsaw" movie he used the characters of Dan, Justin, Zeke, Chris, Taylor, Sean, and Edwin, than I, the writer of "TCM:TL", would be able to sue him for plaigarism because he would be making a profit off those characters. And say that I tried to sell the script, Michael Bay could sue me because he owns the "Texas Chainsaw" title as well as the characters of Leatherface, Hoyt, Luda Mae, Monty, etc.

Its too large to send over the Internet Movie Database, but you can either post your e-mail here or send me a private message with your e-mail and I would happy to send it to you.

And I have finally decided on my next script - they are both remakes (well, one is more of a re-imagining), so they will be up for viewing. One will be a remake of "Terror Train", about a group of American high school athletes on a vacation to see the Olympics in Europe who find themselves aboard an overnight train with three escaped maniacs heading to get out of the country... with no survivors. The other will be a remake of "Friday the 13th", which will feature both Pamela and Jason as killers throughout different parts of the script and will explain Jason's killer origins a bit more. "Friday the 13th" fans will enjoy the appearance of Tommy Jarvis (both as a kid and an adult) as well as the characters from the original as well. Here's the "Friday the 13th" posters I made...
