Why didn't they get Rashida Jones to play Lois Lane?

I mean, she looks virtually like a young Margot Kidder. It's especially puzzling considering that Bryan Singer was trying his damnest to ape Richard Donner's 1978 movie.

Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane has to be one of the worst casting decisions ever for a superhero movie.

She would've been an interesting choice, I never thought Bosworth was that good of an actress anyway.

Kate Bosworth is not only too young at the time but is a small skinny gal and to this day she looks like a scrawny teen girl, she has none of the elements that other Lois Lane actresses brought, anything with her on it's a film no one shouts about or a film I would like to watch.
