was there anybody who didn't cry??

Was there anybody who didn't cry?? I mean i really cried my eyes out at the last half hour or so. The way she does her speech at school for her grandfather even though he's not there and she's trying soooo hard and at the end with the whales...
And I NEVER cry when watching a movie. I watched it (thank god) alone, cause i was so ashamed haha. A day later my parents also watched it and even my dad (!) had to cry and i've never seen him cry and i know him for 18 years haha ofcourse my mom also cried but she can't even hold her tears when watching Dawson's Creek.

By the way: I really liked this movie alot!!

Personally I did not cry. The movie sucked so much that I couldn't force the tears out while I was throwing up in disgust.

haha I have never cried so much because of a movie! It was wonderfully breathtaking. The acting was great, the script was perfect, New Zealand...whoa!
This realationship between Paikea and her grand father was so strong...it was beautiful, I'm keeping an eye on these actors, they were all amazing.

great film, but I didn't cry.

I didn't cry. My right eye started watering, but that's because I have a cold... lol :P

This happens to be the only movie I have ever given a ten to and the only movie I have ever cried for. Towards the end I thought she really did drown for the whales and couldn't hold it in anymore. Excellent film.

Anyone that didn't cry during that scene either has a heart of stone or is dead inside.

I cried at the very end.

Vastly overrated and stilted; still I liked some of the musty flavor, but a bio of Ray Fladeboe would have been better.

Nothing exists more beautifully than nothing.

I didn't cry, but omg, I had a humongous lump in my throat, and I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a lump. And here's the kicker: I didn't even watch the first half of the movie.

reply

Oh my goodness...I cried throughout the film, especially when Pai was reciting her speech, and then, again at the end!

Koro reminds me of my own grandfather, so I could relate!
