YOUR FAVORITE EPISODE OF ALL TIMES??

I was about 12 in 1995, when the series sttared so I was pretty young when I began watching The Outer Limits. I didn't even know it was a Canadian series until a few years ago, but I remember alot of the old ones like Heist with a young pre-Saving Private Ryan Barry Pepper and that pretty freaky epsiode with Brent Spiner who played Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation. I also remember there was another epsiode where aliens had abducted a street block or something, can't remember precisly. But of all my absolulte favorite of all times is Abduction. Not only because I'm in love with Meghan Ory (SP) but because it is a very, very good lession about school shootings that I think all people adults and kids alike should watch. Heck why not even show it to a high school class and get then to discuss the topics that the epsiode presents. Anyways, I like sharing, so what's yours? Another one I also liked stared John Spencer from the West Wing and Micheal Ironside it was called "Summit".

Hard for me to have a favourite as i like lots. If these walls could talk, I Robot, A Stitch In Time and the first episode I ever saw where a man switches bodies with a guardian angel (if you know the name please tell me)..

Thanks for creating this thread seems like fun!

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this one, "The Refuge."

I'll pick "Patient Zero". Some of the episodes I just don't care for.. some are ok. This one stood out to me. Just a 'shocker' of an episode.. surprises me someone hasn't made it into a movie yet.

I would have to go with Quality of Mercy and another one I could use some help figuring out the name of.

Some criminal just went bonkers shooting people and goes to a bar in the wintery wilderness and encounters a man who changes bodies with him and gives him a second chance. I thought it was damn good.

That's "The Conversion" from season 1.

I generally prefer the ones with happier endings, but some of the scarier ones are great, too.

My favorites are:
"Dark Rain"
"I Hear You Calling"
"The Camp"
"Music of the Spheres"
"Relativity Theory"
"Lithia"
"Nightmare"
"Promised Land" (a sequel to "The Camp")
"The Shroud"
"Time to Time"

whats the episode with a girl with bright green eyes called jade who can live forever but is being chased by a mad doctor?

That was a cool episode.

I also like the episode where aliens co-inhabit earth but need our dead so they can live. Crazy story but cool.

There was an episode where a Professor unlocked the secrets of DNA and it made a map on his back to a secret location where he had to take 6 students with him, that had one hell of a twist.

Those episodes are:

Last Supper (Season 3)
The Second Soul (Season 1)
Double Helix (Season 3)

I just watched the nanobots episode, The New Breed and I think that's been one of my favorites of season 1. Freaking BRUTAL, I loved the ending! Haha

Valerie 23 - Yes, I'm an uber geek but something about this story just kind of hit cord with me.

Donor - Full body transplant was always a neat idea.

Why oh god why hasn't the second season been released?

My favorite episode was the one with the four soldiers on the space ship delivering the world killer bomb to their enemy's homeworld, carrying on their mission despite being out of comms, etc, and the one driving them on is an enemy mole.

^That episode is called "The Light Brigade". It is actually a sequel to the first season episode "Quality of Mercy".

Hmmm what was the episode where the guy was slowly turning into some kind of monster, but it was healing him or something?, i remember he was getting eyes in the back of his head.... that was one I remember liking but they were usually all goood.

^That episode is called "The New Breed" from the first season.

In no particular order, since I can't pick one favourite:

Quality of Mercy. First OL episode I ever saw, and was thoroughly horrified and devastated by that 'never-saw-it-coming' twist at the end.

A Stitch in Time. I love time travel stories when they're done well, and this one was extremely compelling. Great performances by Forbes and Plummer.

First Anniversary. Great lessons contained within this episode about the nature of love, trust and beauty. Creepy premise!

The Refuge. My head was spinning with all the twisting going on. Great ending, which was the relief of a happy ending. (After episodes like 'Quality of Mercy', I think I would probably have wrecked my TV if things went sour with this episode. That would have just been too much torture.)

(As a side note, I've never seen Feasibility Study, but I hear it's awesome. I'll have to check it out sometime. Might have to come back here and add it to my list one day).

good t'ing no cheap, and cheap t'ing no good

I'm going through all of the episodes again, and right now I'm finishing season 2 and my two best episodes are: The Light Brigade and Trial by Fire

reply

The best episode of the series is TRIAL BY FIRE (second season), in my opinion, where an alien message is wrongly interpreted by the american president pushed by the omnipresent trigger happy militaries.
