I thought I was the only one!

Really- I thought I was the only person in the known universe who liked this movie- no, not liked- LOVED. I LOVED IT.

And I did from the second I saw it, when it came out. I was in Uni (omg lyk hOw old r u?!) getting my visual arts degree, and this movies sets just completely blew me away, and provided the creative inspiration I needed.

I started thrifting like a mad bugger and decorated my house exactly like that. I still love watching, and showing it to all my friends... who kind of inch away from me as I die laughing at every joke.

One day when I'm rich, I hope to own a pickle-shooting train.

I remember, I'd refure this movie to the movie with the 2 babies.

I love this movie. it was the only movie that would scare me that i also enjoyed watching... then again I was 6.

This is my annual halloween movie. Gotta watch it every 31st of October!

Rest of the year, I find myself occasionally shouting "WELCOME TO DINNER, FOLKS!" in the Judge's gravelly, pinched voice when we have guests over. "HERE's HOW I LIKE EM AN' I SUGGEST YOU HAVE EM THE SAME WAY!"

I loved this movie very funny as hell

i love this movie alot !

So do I, this movie is a classic, Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, John Candy & Demi Moore can't ask for more!

'I will not have my sister who was once queen of the mardi gras sitting at a table with a pickle shooting train!'

'get your I-talian loafers out of my bed pan!!'

incredible.
people just don't anything original or dark and dry. everything has to be dripping wet obvious for them to enjoy it.
whats not to love? john candy, a crappy metal playing coaster, a squeaky toy dungen, greyish-green sausages, a penis tip nose and scooby-doo style removable eye paintings.

I thought this movie was hilarious! After I watched it I was shocked to get on the internet and read some much negativity about this movie!

It was really funny, the condiment dispensing train was classic, all of the characters were good and this movie just rocked!

"You'll never have car trouble"

One of my most fondly remembered films. My best friend and I always repeat that line as an in-joke.

I liked it too. I thought some of the comedy was weak or maybe just weird but I love the isolated setting. This movie has its time and place to be enjoyed. Just gotta be in the right mood.

This movie makes me think twice when I go through a stop sign.

I just watched this again today, its been a while. I still love this one as well, its offbeat, gross but still pretty funny.
I'd love to see a Special Edition DVD for this one someday.

I'm glad to see alot of people on this thread are fans of this movie, I thought this was a really funny movie myself, I thought Dan Aykroyd's role as the Judge was one of his best performancs and I also thought this was the last of Chevy Chase's really funny roles, I also thought Miss Purdah (the female cop) was hilarious in every scene she was in.

This movie warped my mind when I was a weee lad. The situation Chevy and Demi were in terrified me lolz.

I finally got to see this again via PS3 Store. I don't know why this movie got such bad reviews. It may not be a masterpiece but, it certainly entertains.

~ and the movie-snob says, "well if you didn't like it, go watch Transformers"

You had the best answer I ever read. When a movie or t.v show can spawn in-jokes and catch phrases with your friends and/or brothers, its a classic.

You're not alone. I grew up in New Jersey, and I've been to places that were an awful lot like the Judge's house. I especially love the part where Chevy Chase and Demi are opening different doors and seeing one weird room after another -- especially the one with the mountain of bat guano.
