shareCheck these out: Eraserhead, The Holy Mountain, Insidious, Sinister (2012), The Shining, The Exorcist, Mulholland Drive, Suspiria, The Blair Witch Project and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. All of these movies are very bizarre, creepy, disturbing, scary and downright crazy! Also they are very similar to this movie. :)
shareThere is another movie, one guy wakes in the hospital in coma, he has nightmares, tortured by the doctors, anyone know the name?
sharelankasterssj,
"The I Inside" (with Ryan Phillippe) ? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0325596/
Watched Jacob's Ladder last night for the first time in 20 years and loved it even more than I remembered..
While racking my brains for comparables, I remembered this Ryan Phillippe movie from a few years ago and was growing more and more dismayed as I read through this thread as no one had mentioned it and I thought I might never recall it's title.
Thanks lankastersj! Of all the movies listed, this is the one that sticks out in my mind as the one that most closely resembles JL.
I have it cued up to watch tonight and will see if my memory serves me correctly.
I guess in terms of style, you might want to check out the films of Alan Parker (particularly Angel Heart)and maybe Adrian Lyne, a lot of the crew and people involved are the same.
shareMemento, 12 monkeys, inception, vanilla sky :-)
