PETER JACKSON GIVE BACK UR ACADEMY AWARD!

Oh my GOD! let me start off to establish that im not a church going, God hates violence and sex in movies kind of person. I own Dead Alive which I love, thank you mr jackson for that fine piece of zombie cinema, but this Meet the Feebles was the worst piece of *beep* I have ever seen. Please, if you thought you wanted to see this movie, DONT! if you like peter jackson then DONT see this movie, because if Peter jackson had any credibility before, after seeing this, its not just ripped apart, its ripped apart, thrown up on, place in human excrements, and then soaked in semen. If you think that line was revolting, then just go watch this movie and see how something can be even more gross. I liked Team America World Police, and this is NO Team America World Police. Shame on you Peter Jackson you give back that Oscar, you sick freak, you dont deserve it...by the way I love Dead Alive, The Frighteners, and LOTR

In what universe does an artist who wins an award (whether justified or not) have to give it back when an INDIVIDUAL discovers that he made a movie YEARS BEFORE that said indiviual does not happen to like? What's the weather like on your planet?

Just thought I'd correct you.

Oh, and Feebles is excellent.

You weren't correcting me, were you? YOUR is possessive. You're is a contraction of YOU and ARE. If your comment was directed at someone else, my apologies, but I just wanted to be clear.

Yes, Peter Jackson, give back your Oscar. You don´t need it. You´ve done an absolute masteriece back in 1989 and you still piss people off with it. Great work!
I realy feel pity for all the folks who can´t laugh about that movie. And to be honest, films like this were the best reason to watch LOTR. If Ridley Scott had done it, I wouldn´t have even thought about goin in.

Absolutely agree - well put.

What is your point a. it is in bad taste - or b. it is badly made?
Because on both points you are correct, but that doesn't alter the fact that this is a classic.

PJ was a young film maker, learning his craft - he doesn't pass this off as anything but a means to an end, but thankfully he did make it. It is one of the funniest movies I've seen. NOT ONE FOR THE KIDDIES.

The flashback to 'Nam is hilarious - a must see.

Honestly, who would have ever thought that Jackson would win an Oscar after seeing this movie and Braindead?

Props to him for making it that far really. Others would be lucky to do a flick, let alone a trilogy as successfulas LOTR after starting out with this and Braindead on the resume lol

Amazing how a small under developed country like New Zealand can produce a great director.

If he'd had more competition perhaps he would have had his creativity stamped out - thank God he came from an under developed backwater like New Zealand where he was allowed to make a few mistakes.

...but face it - even his mistakes are great....I'd watch Brain Dead over any of the mainstream LOTR stuff any day.

First off, the movie was genius. I didnt like any of his LOTR movies or KING KONG but his others were magnificent. In fact- Im wearing my MEET THE FEEBLES shirt right now.

Peter Jackson is an amazing satrist and this movie is a cult classic. When you look at his newer stuff and look at his trash films, you see two different yet similar artists.

The creativity and depth of the characters are the same in all of his films but like Dr. Seuss, his ADULT fims (and yes, his trash films are adult movies) are different entities than his FAMILY films. The only difference is that Seuss did books and cartoons.

These werent mistake films. This is a cult film in the class of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.

Agree all the way with you antipop. My reference to 'mistakes' wasn't meant as it came across - In a clumsy way I was saying even his 'non-commercial' or box office failures were great.

I haven't seen King Kong...I suppose I should, but if PJ made a sequal to Brain Dead or MTF's i'd be first in line.

What I do respect in PJ is that he ventured into film making seemingly without great technical expertise. His LOTR / King Kong stuff shows that he has mastered the art of using the experts.

Who would have thought that the father of "I'm a Derek and Derek's don't run!" would be wowing the world today?

I had a pet mouse called Derek after Derek in Bad taste :)

Question: Did you ever hurt yourself to make somebody sorry?

reply

I knew what you meant by mistakes lol. I was clearing it up for anyone who may read that and think they were mistakes.
