Schwarzenegger should have been Drago
Now that would have made headlines. But I doubt Schwarzenegger would have wanted to be pretend- pummeled by Stallone.

I can just hear Arnold saying "I must break you"
impossible for several reason.
1. Arnold and Sly don't like each others in 1985.
2. Studio can not affords to pay million dollar plus paycheck to Sly and Arnold.
3. Ego - Arnie's would not allow Sly to beat him in fight. Sly would not want to shares his movie with other star.
4. Dolf Lungrin is better as Drago than Arnie would be. Dolf is underrate as actor.
I agree with 1-3. But I can still imagine Arnold as a Russian. He played one in Red Heat.
shareyes agreeds. red heat is very underrate as film. one of arnie's better action film. he is very good in that film. even name is similar "ivan danko" hahahaha. 80s is great time for manly action movie. no sjw retarts ruining vibe for everybodys. they in hidden away where they belong in 80s.
shareThe easy way would have been to make him East German.
shareFor what it's worth, Nikita Koloff screen tested for the Ivan Drago role. And it has been said that his test was actually pretty good. It's just that Stallone was apparently insecure with being in the same frame with a massive guy (Dolph Lundgren was a big and very physically imposing guy too, don't get me wrong but Nikita was a lot beefier) like Nikita.
