how old were you when you first saw this..?

I saw this first on VHS in my teens, it was the longer version too. Took me decades to find it again. I still like it but it has to be the maddest film ever made.

I saw it in 1984 at a movie theater when I was in my early 20's. As porn it was boring; overall I thought it was merely okay. I watched it years later and thought the acting and the script, for the most part, was sub-par.

I first saw it long ago at about 15 or 16, but don't remember much. I remember thinking it's a "boring art film". Been watching it for the second time just this week and I'm now in my 40s.

Around 22 - 23.

i was today years old.

I was 19 and thought it was pretty awful, even though I was a huge fan of most of the cast at the time. I never got these "erotic" films with lots of sex and nudity but zero titillation. I found the film to be enormously technically sloppy and sadly lacking any action or thrills despite its giant budget. A little something of a battle scene would have gone a long way; historical epics are pretty lacking without them.
