I'd say Archie shares many of Trumps views, but if I remember right, Archie was not too fond of wealthy ppl. I remember once he said, "The should be a little ashamed of their wealth."

shareArchie Bunker was a figment of imagination from a liberal screenwriter, written to be a caricature of conservatives - overtly racist, close-minded, misogynistic, homophobic, and jingoistic - so he could be made fun of by the liberal characters on the show. All to demonstrate to the audience that conservatives shouldn't be taken seriously. Look at that buffoon. What a joke.
So with that in mind, of course Archie would support Trump. Rabidly. He would rant and rave about how Trump is God and should be president for life. He would be injecting bleach into his veins because Trump told him to. He would claim that Trump wouldn't leave the White House even if he lost the election, and rightly so. He would claim that, like him, Trump hates all gay people, and wants to kill all Muslims. And so what if Trump colluded with the Russians? They weren't communists anymore. And oh yeah, he agrees with Trump's secret plan to put all black people back in chains.
In other words, he would be the same ridiculous caricature he was back then.
Actually, that is not fair.
It is true that Archie (appearantly) was planned to be a caricature.
However, there is much more to him than that.
And a lot of people found him more sympathetic than Meathead.
Nevertheless, it is true that he probably would have voted for Trump in 2020.
Like 78 million other Americans did.
Really, it is not like there was any better option.
It's the difference between virtue signaling libs and normal people.
Hollywood focused on the words being said by the characters, and basically how they were "trigger words" ie, revealing "terrible wacism" and shit like that.
While the viewing audience saw the hard working man providing not only for his family, but for the ungrateful and disrespectful "man" his daughter married.
Naturally the normal people judged him on his actual actions, while the lefties couldn't see that based on him being...."deplorable".
