Yes, if enough people fail to vote, the only winner is the candidate with the most loyal fans.

Election campaigns are all about buying fans. Americans seem to be susceptible to that sort of thing.

It's not an accident. The candidates the "elites" want to install are repugnant, so the rivals must also be repugnant to keep it "competitive", like NFL draft rules.

They don't need anyone to vote for her when the machines are so easy to rig and the results are so easy to manipulate, by design. These are facts, not opinions.

Well, see, that's the problem that I have. To my way of thinking, that woman is the worst possible candidate, regardess of Donald Trump's faults. Surely, even a prejudiced comparison of Trump and Harris would have to decide, however reluctantly, that Harris is not a good choice for leader of your country.

I think BKB might have it right, and Trump Derangement Syndrome is indeed a legitimate mental abberation. From my reading of social history, it has happened before.

I can only hope America comes to its senses and chooses the lesser of two evils. I think the rest of the western world hopes that, too.

Well, the term "bizarre" is a bit subjective, I know, but at least two dictionaries have definitions of the word, which are similar;

One dictionary defines it as: markedly unusual in appearance, style, or general character and often involving incongruous or unexpected elements; outrageously or whimsically strange; odd:

Oxfords Dictionary says: At variance with recognized ideas of taste, departing from ordinary style or usage; eccentric, extravagant, whimsical, strange, odd, fantastic.

To my way of thinking, she appears to meet all those criteria. She doesn't impress me as a sober, rational, intelligent type of person. I suspect the majority of Americans see her that way, even those who want a woman as their president. Hence my question: Why would you want her to lead you?

The only conclusion I can draw is very troubling. It's that America as a society has already failed, and the current dilemma that you face is a symptom of that failure. You've got to a point where your choice of President is either an unpopular man or an unstable woman. If a person who is so conspicuously and obviously unsuitable actually gets put into the position of Leader of America, it will simply be the last phase of that failure. I don't know what America will be like after that, but I don't think it will be "America" any more.

I think my answer is in your answer. America has already gone so far into decline that its people no longer vote for a candidate, they merely vote against a different candidate. Your choice is no longer about the best, most qualified candidate. It's about your personal and subjective hatred of one of them. If anything could be said to be the cause of a society's failure, it's that.

I do not understand why people who want a female president would want an awful candidate to win. They should want the first female president the best possible candidate. A bad one will lead many people to think and claim, "See, females should not be president. Look how awful of a job she did".

On a side note, are you married?

I ask because every lady I meet on or offline with any political sense is always taken. Just curious if the trend continues.
