All kidding aside, you Americans, will you honestly tell me why you would even consider, for a nanosecond, putting that Harris woman into the most elevated position in your country? The rest of the western world has admired The United States for untold decades now, and looked up to you as the be-all and end-all of societies. Regardless of your faults and shortcomings, you remain the de facto leader of the western world.
So, what reason could you possibly have for doing something as ludicrous as selecting this bizarre woman as your president?
You have that backwards. There needs to be fewer voters, not more.
All the uninformed, low IQ, lazy, entitled, government tit feeding, Karens/Darrens, and illegals(yes, they get to vote too) should not be allowed to vote.
There needs to be some sort of proficiency test.
It's not an accident. The candidates the "elites" want to install are repugnant, so the rivals must also be repugnant to keep it "competitive", like NFL draft rules.
Not really. They only become choices at all when hand-picked by the oligarchy. Whoever has the most money behind them will 95% of the time be the winner, and Kamala wasn't even picked by the voters, she was in fact brutally rejected in the previous cycle. Jill Stein is the best candidate in my opinion, but not a viable one as she can't win. If you mean we can put controls on the oligarchy to make them stop picking our candidates for us, I'm right with you. Let's do that.
They only become choices at all when hand-picked by the oligarchy.
Who do you think I mean by "us"?
If you mean we can put controls on the oligarchy to make them stop picking our candidates for us, I'm right with you.
Political parties are in the end funding machines used to control politicians. If we can't ban political parties, then we can't stop wealth controlling politics.
But they are already in power, why would they ban the machinism putting them there?
Also just look at Trump, he did not betray his class. He cut taxes for the rich, expanded military spending and blamed opioid crisis on China. He just wanted to make up some of his own policies, and look what happened to him.
It is always a bad idea to have billionaires in politics, it is much harder to control them with money.
It is the same in Australia, we had a decent prime minister, his name was Malcolm Turnbull, he was a tech billionaire, and was very quickly removed.
In his memoir he said he was removed because he did not follow the "advice" of Rupert Murdoch.

That was not a statement from me, but a billionaire. "us" were the wealthy people.
All the viable candidates, democrat or republican were chosen by billionaires.
I first heard that statement from an US professor on politics and democracy, I think was from Princeton, in a youtube video, of course nobody will ever hear statements like that on the mainstream media.
It left an impression on me. He was talking about saving democracy through reforms. But wealth controls politics, why would they give up? Why would they reform themselves out of picture?
That is academia, very smart people, but kind of naive to an extent.
You are dense if you think the elections are not at least attempted to be rigged. It has been proven several times.
2000 election is a perfect example.
Bush won the electoral vote by 537 votes in one (extremely Dem)county in Florida. He only won because they stopped the recount. He was losing votes like crazy until the recount was ceased.
Several people who were involved with the electronic voting machines(and others who were hired to audit them) went on record stating that the system has zero security and anyone could logon and flip votes. Also, 100s of machine audits showed that voting for Gore would tally a vote for Bush. Literally flipping the vote in real time.
In most liberal democracies that is how it happens, the party caucus chooses the leader. Only in US there is this process of primary.
But it is not that big a deal, really just an illusion of choice, remember Bernie Sanders? In the end, the political parties choose the candidates. Think the primaries more of a polling practice.
The only reason anyone would be stupid enough to vote for this woman is because of their serious butt hurtness over, of all people, Donald Trump and it wouldn't matter if the woman ruined America or not. TDS is a very serious mental health issue
They don't need anyone to vote for her when the machines are so easy to rig and the results are so easy to manipulate, by design. These are facts, not opinions.
The original poster wanted a reason why people would vote for Kamela... I think Donald Trump would be a valid reason... I don't really think that needs any further explanation.
You do realize Bill Clinton encouraged Trump to run, and Hillary urged her media cronies to give him billions in free air time... it was all exposed in the emails published by Wikileaks. The scam is obvious. As long as you'll keep voting for them, they'll keep putting out worse and worse candidates, and propping up worse rivals to run against. They donate to maga candidates and run ads for them every primary, so they can drown out reasonable opponents, and then claim "democracy is on the ballot". No it isn't. Democracy IS the ballot, and they're shitting all over it.
I didn't even think it was possible to put up a worse candidate than Hillary, but then we got an incoherent old segregationist with dementia who sniffs women and children, and now... a Hillary of color, who couldn't even get a single electoral vote in her primary last election, so they make her VP instead, and now install her without a primary. They know you are so STUPID that you will still vote for her, because you are scared of the boogeyman THEY created. When is enough enough?
Not really, I get most of my information from videos, and most of those will be buried under the search algorithms by now. But, if you search "trump billions in free air time" and "hillary emails wikileaks" you should be able to find information on it, though there might be bias depending on the source. Wikileaks has an extensive search function, but it's somewhat difficult to use. You basically have to already know something about the email to find it.
I just tried searching "podesta media trump hillary emails", but I keep getting errors when I click anything.
Also, the DNC claim the emails were "hacked"... by Russia, no less. I expect that is complete nonsense. It's called WikiLEAKS for a reason. Someone with access to those servers most likely stuck a thumb drive in and copied the files. Prevailing minds say it was Seth Rich, which would explain a lot... although, that was never proven. In the case of the Podesta emails, they say he fell victim to a simple phishing scam. Leaving aside how stupid he must be if that's true, it still wouldn't be a hack.
I did search for ‘trump billions in free air time’ and ‘Hillary emails Trump free airtime’ and there is nothing. It’s a problem when your sources only come from YouTube or TikTok videos, I’m sure you know that though.
How did I portray it? They propped up Trump and gave him billions in free airtime, and even famously aired his empty podium for 30 minutes. The story shows they tell the press who to promote.
I think it is a very valid reason... Because of the US political system you have 2 choices... and if you don't to vote for a criminal... you only other choice i Kamala Harris
It's true. Some people are so dumb and uninformed, they believe what the media tells them and think Trump is satan and therefore must be voted against.
Well you just need to watch him talk and then can see there is something off... but by all means vote for him if you can... I don't live in America so I don't even have a vote.
Any questions on wether she is suitable are swept aside by the real and present danger of the worst possible candidate in the world getting in - again.
You're right its baffling that out of 300 million these are the options , but at least the democrats have managed to wheel Biden into the retirement home in the nick of time , given he was probably the only person who could have lost to Trump
Well, see, that's the problem that I have. To my way of thinking, that woman is the worst possible candidate, regardess of Donald Trump's faults. Surely, even a prejudiced comparison of Trump and Harris would have to decide, however reluctantly, that Harris is not a good choice for leader of your country.
I think BKB might have it right, and Trump Derangement Syndrome is indeed a legitimate mental abberation. From my reading of social history, it has happened before.
I can only hope America comes to its senses and chooses the lesser of two evils. I think the rest of the western world hopes that, too.
I agree , everyone hopes that , its just that opinions vary on who is the lesser of two evils.
I'm trying to resist getting into the usual debate but i just gotta say , again ,
Trump is an idiotic self serving egotistical moron with zero redeeming qualities proven time and again when he talks and completely unsuitable to be President - pretty much anyone else would be better.
I dont know much about Kamala apart from apparently she has a funny laugh and Trump is obsessed with what color her skin is.
I'll take that anyday over Trump.
The one redeeming thing I'll say about Trump is that I dont believe he wants to hurt America , he wants to help . Problem is he's too stupid and self serving.
It would be like letting a toddler cook thanksgiving dinner.
Intentions good , result disastrous.

Y'know, that's a great way of putting it!

That's a worry. You have a very subjective opinion about one candidate, based on your dislike of their personal traits, but you don't know much about the other candidate.
In the coming election, America has no choice. It seems to be as simple as that.
In a situation like that, the old adage probably applies: "Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't know"
I get what you're saying but , there comes a point where you know one devil well enough that its extremely unlikely that an unknown devil would be not be a way better choice.
Trump is over that line by a country club mile.
I'd say the unknown is always, by definition, a bad choice. It's a ghastly mistake to vote from ignorance.
According to some, America has already made that mistake once, when it elected Donald Trump to office. You were ignorant of his flaws then, but you made him President.
Why would you want to make that same mistake again? By electing this Harris, you might wind up with a worse President than Trump ever was. In fact, going by what I've seen and heard about Harris, I think it's actually extremely likely you'd have a worse President than Trump ever was...
I think Americans really should be trying to overcome their prejudice and focussing on Trump's positive qualities, rather than trying to punish him at any cost. Because it seems to me that this apparent enthusiasm for Harris is manufactured and superficial, prompted solely by revenge against Trump. Such a mindset can only be bad for your country. You're the greatest country in the world. I, and others, can only hope you remain that.
Well, the term "bizarre" is a bit subjective, I know, but at least two dictionaries have definitions of the word, which are similar;
One dictionary defines it as: markedly unusual in appearance, style, or general character and often involving incongruous or unexpected elements; outrageously or whimsically strange; odd:
Oxfords Dictionary says: At variance with recognized ideas of taste, departing from ordinary style or usage; eccentric, extravagant, whimsical, strange, odd, fantastic.
To my way of thinking, she appears to meet all those criteria. She doesn't impress me as a sober, rational, intelligent type of person. I suspect the majority of Americans see her that way, even those who want a woman as their president. Hence my question: Why would you want her to lead you?
The only conclusion I can draw is very troubling. It's that America as a society has already failed, and the current dilemma that you face is a symptom of that failure. You've got to a point where your choice of President is either an unpopular man or an unstable woman. If a person who is so conspicuously and obviously unsuitable actually gets put into the position of Leader of America, it will simply be the last phase of that failure. I don't know what America will be like after that, but I don't think it will be "America" any more.
Well, she's not Trump. I mean, sure he donated to her, and invited her to his wedding, and their kids are friends, and she promoted him over Jeb Bush in 2016, and both are with Jeffrey Epstein's crew... but she's not technically Trump. She's not technically a turnip either, though.
Because the same democratic apparatus that catapulted Trump into the nomination is now relying on the same pied piper strategy to get you to vote for the democrats now(as I explained earlier in this same thread), and your support for Hillary 2.0 shows that it's working. Don't get your panties in a twist, I never voted for Trump. I would prefer him over Kamala, but that's mainly 'cus ever since they cheated Bernie and lied about his supporters, and then Bernie endorsed the corruption, I realized the democratic party is where left-wing ideas go to die. I'll be voting for Jill Stein. Again.
Yes, I don't see the rest of the world's leaders developing any respect for the woman. What would happen instead, is that they would all decide to just put up with her, for appearances sake, to keep their own people quiet.
In a situation like that, America would just become a "bit player" in the world. You'd be like the rich kid who wants to play with the local kids, but is ignored because he's a jerk.
I think my answer is in your answer. America has already gone so far into decline that its people no longer vote for a candidate, they merely vote against a different candidate. Your choice is no longer about the best, most qualified candidate. It's about your personal and subjective hatred of one of them. If anything could be said to be the cause of a society's failure, it's that.
You won't catch me voting for her. I've heard a lot about her past "career," (comedy/tragedy that it is) and she frankly has no business even thinking about running the country at all. She can't even run a legal firm!
The only factor I can see in her being put on a pedestal is the fact that the Democrat party shit a ton of bricks when two things happened:
- Biden revealed to the world (where the videos couldn't be edited and was filmed live) that he was having a seriously bad case of Dementia and probably didn't even know where he was when debating Trump (despite most of us with an IQ higher than 60 who don't watch mainstream news knowing about this already 4 years ago)
- Their assassination attempt on Trump not only failed, but backfired spectacularly
So you can chalk up the change in Democratic candidates as a form of panic and desperation, and no amount of cheesy, fake PR spin is gonna help them this time around. Only reason anyone would be stupid enough to vote for this whorish cow is because she isn't Trump: that's it. Doesn't matter if she slaps chains on their wrists and declares herself Queen tomorrow, just so long as Trump doesn't win. That's how stupid her voters are.
I do not understand why people who want a female president would want an awful candidate to win. They should want the first female president the best possible candidate. A bad one will lead many people to think and claim, "See, females should not be president. Look how awful of a job she did".
On a side note, are you married?
I ask because every lady I meet on or offline with any political sense is always taken. Just curious if the trend continues.
Some people are so stupid and blinded by intersectional feminazi politics that they'll vote for anything with XX chromosomes and dark skin, and only so long as she has a "D" by her name. Doesn't matter if she slapped chains on their wrists and sent them to the salt mines tomorrow, they'd still do it so long as their least favorite orange man never got back into office. That's how stupid and brainwashed some of these voters are.
I would have loved to have had Sarah Palin as our first woman president, but I found out later that she was ill-prepared for the attacks Obama did against her character through his minions, and despite bragging about being a "grizzly mom," she really doesn't seem to know how to punch back when attacked by the other side. This has led me to believe she might be one of the Uniparty fake Republicans that is easily cowed by the Left, and that both disappoints me and bothers me immensely.
And second, I'm afraid that's confidential information. Much as I'd love to talk about my personal life on here, I've learned not to do that after the trolls decided to turn everything I said into a cruel joke. I'm just glad you're nice enough not to call me a man.
