I honestly think we should do a one-and-done with all Indian names. Sports teams, streets, towns, rivers, lakes, state names.. This will go on forever. What's not offensive today will be 10 years from now, then another 10 years, then another 10 years.

Let's just purge this once and for all.

I don't understand what's offensive about the name. They're naming for a baseball team, not a toilet. In the NHL there is a team called the "Canadiens" and no one cares. Redskins is offensive, but Indians isn't.

The Native American Tribes in the Washington D.C./Maryland/Virginia area were among the biggest supporters of keeping the Redskins name. If they are not offended then why should anyone else be?

Why Guardians though? Is there a meaning to this name?

Maybe Cleveland should play up on its history with rock n roll. Cleveland Rockers or something?

Something to do with the Traffic Guardian...lol....Rockers was up for consideration. It would have been better. The guardians name is ok but the new insignia is crap...
