why is he called "the next m. night shayamalan?"
the next m. night shamalayan title was already taken and claimed by neill blompkamp.

shareM. Night Shyamalan is a title, like Dalai Lama. There will always be more M. Nights
shareI get it, it fits. I just saw Nope and came on here to say I feel like their careers share similar trajectories. M. Night Shyamalan's always have a twist, there's a few that don't when he was tired of it, but they mostly do. Jordan Peele, I wouldn't say his have twists, more of... unravelings, if you will. But either way, you go in expecting, waiting for something to drop near the end that will make it all make sense. So they feel pressure to live up to that, and of course they can't, because audiences are cynical. I definitely enjoyed Nope, but it wasn't full of the social commentary that Get Out was, Get Out will long be his golden standard that can't be beat.
shareb/c they both try to make feature length Twilight Zone episodes?
shareI’ve never heard this term lol! Funny though.
Both can be hit or miss, I genuinely enjoyed Us and Get Out but was a bit confused and bored with Nope.
Likewise with M. Night, he had some greats and some that were not so great.
I do appreciate that both guys take risks, they are interesting directors.
Because M. Night Shama-lama-dingdong is a terrible director and everyone knows it, ever see The Village? Jordan Peele is the next schlocky director of B-list horror movies. The emphasis on "B" list. Because that's all Jordan Peele will ever be.
shareI liked The Village... and all of Peele's movies have something special about them.
shareBecause they're both hacks.

Becuase people like to hype his cleverness and "vision" but his movies still suck.
