I agree, but it's not 100%. There are a few here who can discuss something without resulting to ad hominem attacks, but they are in the minority.
I get flamed from both sides of the aisle. I am definitely a conservative by anyone's definition but I get torched for realizing that neither side is always 100% right.
I've had conservatives call me a liberal, liberals call me alt-right, white racists calling me a white southerner (I'm black from the Northeast U.S.) or an Uncle Tom and on it goes. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA, but my intelligence is always questioned (even by conservatives when I disagree with any of their points) in these mindless attacks. Honestly, it's tiring. Sometimes I feel like deleting my account.
I'm old enough to remember when both sides would at least listen to the other and just be civil if nothing else.
