Everyone who hates this lady is an anti-woke propaganda guzzler.

There is an entire industry of 'anti-woke' sentiment. A hatefest culture of celebrating 'woke' media (movies, tv shows, videogames) losing money or getting bad reviews.

Most rational people would wonder why on earth idiots online HATE Brie Larson or Rachel Zegler. What on earth have they done to deserve such vitriol? Well they've become punching bags for 'anti-woke' assholes. MAGA clowns who are proudly racist, sexist and homophobic. New movie has a black character? It's woke. Movie has a woman as the lead? It's woke. Game has pronoun selection? It's woke.

Kathleen Kennedy BAD, Brie Larson BAD, Rachel Zegler BAD, Gina Carano GOOD.

This has all stemmed from the Gamergate shitshow back in 2014-2015. Where videogame nerds launched a campaign of hatred as a backlash against 'political correctness' in videogames. Then in 2016 you had the MAGA election and Ghostbusters (2016) which really kicked it into overdrive and spilled over into everything. Ghostbusters is probably the first example of a movie being the target of an orchestrated online hate campaign in the name of anti-wokeness.

Here are examples of sort of content these muppets watch, bull shit 'go woke go broke' ragebait. Hatefests for bigoted dickweeds.

Youtube channels, typifying the cultish 'go woke go broke' hatefests. You'll note the regular usage of Brie Larson, Rachel Zegler and Kathleen Kennedy in thumbnails. These sorts of videos have contributed to the outrageous amounts of hate these ladies have received.

Basically a bunch of nerds, predominantly white heterosexual men, have thrown a major fit over changes to entertainment. Games, movies and shows have all made efforts to be more diverse and less white heterosexual male biased.

Historically the movie and television industries in the USA were dominated by white men (most of whom are heterosexual naturally) and the same applies to video games. This is still largely the case but not as much as it used to be. This is why a lot of old content is catered to these demographics. These gamers and movie fans who have grew up being catered too are now in tears that the industry no longer only considers them and their tastes.

In videogame culture a lot of these dudes love Japanese games because they're 'anti-woke', basically their games have no black people and the women are sexualized.

It's very much a bigoted hate fest. They often claim they're not racist or sexist nor homophobic but who do they think they're kidding? They hate women, non-white people and non-heterosexuals. They want their nerdy little entertainment interests to be only for them and they wish to exclude anyone who isn't a white male.

Bigotry is a two-way street.

You probably noticed in your list of people of being hated, Daisy Ridley is absent, even her character Rey in star wars was very much hated.

The same goes with Felicity Jones and Emilia Clarke, and they both played strong female characters in star wars a lot of people don't like, but they are not on your list either. Very few hated these actresses.

Kathleen Kennedy was not in any movie, yet she is no.1 in your list of hatred.

I think other than their failures, which are facts and ruined a lot of movies and franchises people loved, I think it also has a great deal to do with what they say or do off screen.

It is OK not to like some people, right? Or whoever not liking them should be called names, like you just did?

Ask yourself, how are you any different?

The only thing I took from this post is that people belong in distinct categories based on the 'attributes' and these 'attributes' are all that define them ...

According to Axios, in the 2022 book Meme Wars, Joan Donovan, research director at Harvard's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, argued that Gamergate served as "The key template that the far right and former President Trump's MAGA movement have used to organize online", noting that during Gamergate, "online mobs deployed techniques and tactics that were later taken up by the Trumpist right, including the use of memes, false allegations and coordinated harassment." Donovan also argued that "similar techniques are being used to intimidate and harass entire groups of people, most prominently transgender youth and adults."

The alt-right's emergence was marked by Gamergate. According to the journalist David Neiwert, Gamergate "heralded the rise of the alt-right and provided an early sketch of its primary features: an Internet presence beset by digital trolls, unbridled conspiracism, angry-white-male-identity victimization culture, and, ultimately, open racism, anti-Semitism, ethnic hatred, misogyny, and sexual and gender paranoia". Gamergate politicized many young people, especially males, in opposition to the perceived culture war being waged by leftists.

These are simply miserable people who need to get lives or healthy hobbies of some sort.

There are some crazy people writing paragraph after paragraph about it, complete with multiple internet hyperlinks and then responding to their own posts to bump the issue back into consciousness when no one else cares to reply

Well what you need to see is that a lot of youtubers make rage bait content, not necessarily because they believe what they say is justified or makes sense, but because they know that will get clicks and views and therefore money. It is a livelihood for a lot of people to feed into outrage culture. And many people watch these videos and then their views are influenced in a more judgmental direction.

reply

Did you miss that this is exactly what Disney are doing? You described the method yourself.

reply

In disney's case I'd categorize it as outrage marketing which has been an advertisement strategy since the 19th century.

reply

Wow. I see Zegler’s publicist is working overtime.

I’m just curious why anyone keeps casting her. Everything she’s been in has bombed so far and she’s created such a nightmare for Disney they’re now rethinking the direction of Snow White and their entire failing woke strategy.

reply

That is all fake news. You must be a propaganda guzzler.

1. West Side Story was her first gig. No one even knew who she was before it so how could it be used as a guage of her star power? It flopped at the box office because it's a big budget musical that's over 2 and a half hours long. It was critically accalimed however with many praising Zegler's performance.

2. In Shazam! Fury of the Gods, only her second movie, she was a minor supporting characters. Fifth billed overall, third billed amongst the villains. The movie flopped like all recent DC movies. So all this alt right talk about her being some sort of box office poison is hilariously deluded. Keep telling yourselves that everyone hates this random actress, these two movies were released before the alt right hate campaign was launched against her so it can't even be argued that her reputation damned these movies.

3. It's hilarious you think Disney (a supposed mega 'woke' company) have suddenly decided to appeal to MAGA clowns. The 'go woke go broke' wankers online are a loud minority in a echo chamber and Disney will never align with the alt-right bitter incels. There is no 'nightmare' for Disney. All talk about scandals and 'rethinking their failing woke strategy' is fake news from the alt right. Just like all the reports Zegler was getting recasted or that Kathleen Kennedy is getting fired. We keep hearing these from the racist incels yet they've not to come to pass. Keep guzzling fake news.

reply

Just curious, but how do you feel about the article recently posted about customers standing in line at Disney to get on a ride now shit their pants and discard their clothing in favor of leaving the line and going to the restroom??

reply

Old man whitey is not stopping you from making movies with any race you want to. It's called freedom.

But don't whine if it doesn't do very well. If we're not interested, we're not interested. Case closed, move on.
