His idea, or the company's? If that's from Eon it sounds ominous to me. I get the feeling they're struggling with ideas to 'reinvent' Bond, and that whilst I liked NTTD it left them in a 'WTF do we do now?' position. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Bond ended up taking a rest for a few years.
shareHe'll only truly being going back to his Roots if he is played by Geordi La Forge and he refuses to say that his name is James Bond, but instead will only introduce himself as Kunta Kinte.
shareYeah, I'd like to see cold war era depicted in Bond movies, considering that 60's Bonds never were really about that. Instead Bond fought against fictitious Spectre and other villains. Soviets were the baddies only remotely (closest in From Russia with Love).
shareI would love to see Nolan take on Bond, here’s hoping!
I would like to see a cross between Munich and Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy.
Something founded on a well written narrative, with a more serious tone, more grit and less flash, more survival wit and less gadgetry, and I could do without the maniacal villain, as it relates to insanity, hyper violent is fine by me.
I like Aaron Taylor Johnson for the role!
Sounds cool, Munich is one of my favourite movies and one of the best movies of the 00's...
shareAm coming round to the idea of Johnson as Bond. It is sounding like an inevitabillity regardless of Nolan taking some control or not. He was great as a villain in Nocturnal Animals.
shareNo - you hire Martin Campbell so he can introduce his 3rd Bond actor.
shareI get your thinking but the guy is 80 now.
sharehe is still working on projects though. The dude made huge blockbusters and the best bond pictures out of any that the respective actors have been in.
share‘Cause life ends at 80.
shareDon't know where you're from. In my country (UK) people tend to retire by 65 for obvious reasons, look at the President acoss the pond.
shareArtists tend to work past the official retirement age, though. Clint Eastwood is over 90 and still making movies. And Ridley Scott is 80+. John Williams, 90+. I guess some people don't have time for retirement when you have too much fun at work.
