What's your favorite Duran Duran song?

Mine:

The Wild Boys
Come Undone
The Chauffeur
Careless Memories
The Man Who Stole a Leopard
A View To a Kill

reply

I remember seeing the Hungry Like the Wolf video premiere on tv in 1982...I was like 4/5, but it came on after Michael Jackson's Beat It video.

reply

I want my MTV! 📼📺😁

reply

Crazily enough, where I lived, we didn't get MTv until the early 90s. We had to watch videos on USA channel's "Night Flight", and Friday Night Videos"!

reply

Ordinary World has special memories for me.

Rio
The Chauffeur
Friends of Mine
Planet Earth
Save a Prayer
Tel Aviv

I went to a DD concert last year and they played Friends of Mine, and on the big screen behind them there was a montage of horror film footage playing. Anyhow they don’t play that song live often and it was great. I found some footage:

reply

When they used to play those Second Life montages at their shows a few years back, my avatars were in them!

reply

That’s awesome!! Which one was yours?

reply

I'd have to search for the Reflex live, I know my avatar is on that one. It's a huge werewolf, the footage they used was filmed just by a fan at their DDU events back in 2011.

reply

Rio
Save a prayer
Wild Boys
Girls on Film
View to a kill

reply

Almost exactly the same for me, except I'd switch Planet Earth for Save a Prayer.

reply

I still remember when I saw the uncensored version of Girls on Film for the first time. We had to take what we could get before the internet!

reply

Indeed! I got into them in the 90s, their heyday was a little before my time. They used to play A View to a Kill to infinity on VH1 Europe.

reply

Skin Trade
A View To A Kill
Ordinary World

reply

Skin Trade never got enough love, I've grown to like it since.

reply

It's my favourite DD track (and the greatest song that Prince never sang)

reply

Yeah, they were really into Prince when that was written, I think most artists of the time were.

reply

The Reflex
(Reach Up For The) Sunrise
Ordinary World

I could go on, but I'd just end up listing everything they're recorded.

reply

I loved The Reflex when it was No.1 but it's on of those songs I've heard too much.

reply

Ordinary world.
Come Undone.

reply

Two classics from the 90's!

reply

While I haven’t heard tons of their stuff beyond what was played on the radio, I always liked the songs Hungry Like The Wolf and Union of the Snake.
