I can't find any scientific polls asking that specific question. I come across plenty of people online who aren't Tucker Carlson loving right wing extremists who also question that among other things we've been told by government officials like Fauci. I also know some in the real world, so that opinion is just based on personal experience.

I hate the way Trump used to say "many many people", and "it's going to be great, it really is". He has the vocabulary of a 2nd grader. I voted for the guy because of his politics (love the politics, hate the messenger), and because I couldn't stand Hillary and Biden.

shareJanuary 6th proves my point more than it doesn't. On a relative scale, it was very few people. There were almost no violent encounters, and minimal property damage. Most of the people that actually went inside were literally just spectators. While I don't agree with it, It was a very mild event in all reality.
In stark contrast, the Seattle riots lasted almost a month. It was a city held hostage and had 59 injured police officers, resulted in 10s of millions of dollars in damage, had numerous murders as a result and countless assaults and reports of rape. This exact thing also happened in Portland, but lasted much longer.
So yes, when you compare the actions of members in two different political parties in similar situations, you can see the glaring differences.

Even Trump did some very good, very important things—effective things. When people just 100% hate on him and are unable to acknowledge ANYTHING positive he has done...they lose all credibility with me. It’s just not a very intelligent world-view. CNN comes to mind. Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers come to mind. Both are douchebags who think they speak for the masses and are champions of the cause....when really they’re probably just pissing off more than half the people who still watch late-night talk shows.

BTW...I think the effectiveness of masks is more common sense. It’s not to protect the wearer from stuff getting ingested. It’s to cut down on the amount of droplets that spray out into the air when the wearer talks, caughs or sneezes. It creates a barrier. Just common sense. It’s not 100% effective, but I get it.

There is a huge difference between a 70s and 80s liberal to a 2022 liberal.
To a certain extent, the cons have become conspiracy nutters, which I can handle in most situations, sure, it can be annoying but I would take the conspiracy nutters over people that have embraced cancel culture, anti-free speech doctrine, and make excuses for riots and high crime.
