Good actor, I always watch Sleepy Hollow this time of year which he stars in. He famously replaced Richard Harris as Dumbledore for the second Harry Potter movie and played the character the rest of the series.

RIP. I remember first seeing him in long-forgotten 1977 BBC sitcom The Other One, with the late Richard Briers.

Remember him most in the Beast must Die with Peter Cushing.

Gambon today, and David McCallum a few days ago. Waiting for number three...

RIP. My favourite performance of his was as Raymond in Poliakoff's TV mini-series 'Perfect Strangers' from 2001. A truly great actor.

Anyone else watch "Top Gear", the original British version? Well, if you've ever seen the segments where they have celebrities drive an ordinary car on a racetrack, you probably heard them say "... and s/he's coming into Gambon...". That's because Michael Gambon was on the show in its early days, and was such a likeable person, terrific driver, and hilarious guest that they named part of their racetrack after him.
