Oddly attractive?

Margot Kidder was considered attractive back then. IMHO both her and Shelly Duvall were plain white chicks, with a little sexiness because they were thin. No more, no less.

She's cute, maybe not 'sexy'. Very feminine voice and puppy dog eyes. Whenever she's on screen I want to give her a hug. She elicits a protective response from me.

No. But we need actresses that can project certain characteristics that are not associated with high levels of beauty. Most of us do not fit a universal definition of attractiveness so its good that we can see characters played by actors who we can relate to. I would not want Alice from television's The Brady Bunch to be played by anybody other than Ann B Davis. I would not want Esther Walton from The Walton's to be played by anybody other than Ellen Corby.

I've always thought she was very pretty with beautiful eyes 😊

Like many people with unusual features, she was cute when she was young. But unusual as a tendency to turn ugly with age.

Another case: Lily Cole. The whole doll head thing looks cute at 20. Kinda freakish at 40.
