shareI think that's so cool of her. The R&R Hall of Fame get silly with this, sometimes, by putting through acts like ABBA or Madonna. No disrespect to hardworking artists whose music means a lot to a lot of people, but they ain't rock 'n' roll! Dolly's a class act!

RRHOF was only relevant for a short amount of time - I guess they opened right as Rock and Roll was on the wane. It wasn't long before they started letting anyone in.
What they should have done is changed their name to something like The Music Hall of Fame.
ABBA and Madonna are not rock acts, but neither are most of the inductees right now.
Well, since Aretha Franklin and The Supremes were among the earliest inductees I think they have always been fairly liberal in terms of what they classify as rock and roll.
Maybe they should have called it the Popular Music Hall of Fame, but it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.
Changing the name would be good. Maybe they should reduce the number of years required? That way they could access some more in-memory material and get some acts in that are actually rock 'n' roll.
The trouble is that they're inducting members to generate excitement about the R&RHoF, but nobody cares. Maybe just turn it into a rock museum?

I think she'll be remembered more for her philanthropic endeavors by people who don't care about her tits. Her Imagination Library, and scholarships are just the tip of the iceberg.
