It looks to me like Daily Mail took "Gen Z is 30% to 40% more queerer" as meaning 30% to 40% of Gen Z is queer. But that's not how math works.
It was said on video.

And I don't see anyone saying Gen Z is 30% to 40% queer.
All I see is her agreement that Gen Z is 30% to 40% more queer than Gen Y, which would suggest to me that she would be on board with making 30% to 40% more of the characters queer.
Which is a vast difference from making 30% to 40% of all the characters queer.
