What do you consider to be a fair price for a celebrities autograph?

I have none myself but I saw that Spacecon has a few celebs I like (MEW ❤️) so I was wondering how much they charge... these are the prices you pay;

Ewan McGregor - $225
Hayden Christensen - $150
Rosario Dawson - $125
William Shatner - $120
Gina Carano - $100
Katee Sackhoff - $100
MEW - $80
Ray Park - $80
Giancarlo Eposito - $80
Michael Rooker - $60
Ahmed Best - $50

They seem pretty expensive?

If you want to get your photo took with McGregor & Christensen (together at the same time) it'll set you back $460.

reply

Nothing.

Hate to sound like a cheapskate, but I'm not paying for anyone's autograph.

reply

A buck two ninety-eight.

I remember going to a Penn & Teller show and they gave their autographs out for free.

I attended several comic-cons and three times the Star Wars celebration(two in London and one in Essen- Germany).Sometimes I thought that it would be nice to have a photo with Mark Hamill and Ewan Mcgregor but I just did not want to pay such a price for it (e.g. Ewan Mcgregor more than 200 €).
Nevertheless I have a photo with two actors of the American Pie franchise (25 € or so each).

Stan Lee gave me his autograph for free.

It seems like a million years ago.

reply

FREE.

reply

I wouldn’t pay anything for an autograph, but no judgment on those who would, I’ve certainly spent more money on items that might seem frivolous to others.

reply

How about free? Having to pay for someone to sign an object like a photo or an album, or even a replica movie prop seems ridiculous, and sounds suspiciously like a grifting operation. These celebrities are already rich, and the people coming to the conventions already had to pay a lot for the tickets.
