Sandwiches
Do you cut yours diagonally or down the centre? And just in half, or into quarters?

I never cut my sandwiches.
shareI prefer the diagonal cut. However, I am able to eat my sandwich much faster if it were cut in quarters.
shareI don't cut my sandwiches, but if I were to, it would be a diagonal cut.
shareEither way is fine. I probably favor diagonally as it is easier to take that first bite, on the point.
shareπ my thoughts exactly.... I appear to be in the minority here though π
shareAlways diagonal for me. Back in the dark ages when I was in school, my mom made lunches for us every day. She always cut them down the center, and they were always wrapped in waxed paper. They traveled better that way.
Okay. Now I want a sandwich. π₯ͺ
My mom would wrap the sandwich in hand paper, then foil, then in a ziplock bag, and then finally in my lunchpale.
shareI'm not sure what hand paper is. My mom used waxed paper because it was less expensive than foil or plastic wrap.

Every school day she made six sandwiches for my five siblings and me. When we were in grade school, we each had our own metal lunchbox. Mine was The Flintstones. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/52/f0/7f/52f07f85b2f6500103760ea29171f570.jpg
Sorry, I meant paper 'napkin'. To be honest, I don't think we ever used, nor I ever heard of, wax paper till the late 90s when my sister wanted to start cooking.
That's a sweet lunchbox! I think I had a Nina Turtals one. I miss them hehe.
Oh, and your mother's a trooper managing her 6 little ones.
That's cool! I had a Jetsons lunchbox when I was in fourth grade. It was my pride and joy back then! My stepmother made me peanut butter and jelly, bologna and tuna salad sandwiches but my favorite was when she made me fried egg and cheese sandwiches. Those things were delicious!
shareI think I had a My Little Pony lunch box, but I had a Ghostbusters flask π

I don't cut it and just eat it whole, but as a kid, it was cut diagonally
shareIf I make a sandwich I donβt cut it.
shareMost of the time I don't cut my sandwiches, but if I do, it's down the center. I also tear the crust off on 3 sides. I only leave the crust on if I'm really hungry.
shareHow come you take only 3 sides of crust off?
shareFront side is where I bite first, left and right is where I bite next as i work my way through the sandwich, and I finish at the back crust area. I just don't like eating the crust, frankly, and it's driven mom nuts for years until I started making my own sandwiches. I will tell you the dogs we've had over the years loved it when I was eating sandwiches, because they were more than welcome to have the crusts I didn't eat.

shareWhen I was a kid I insisted my mom remove the crusts from sandwiches. π€£
