Sandwiches

Do you cut yours diagonally or down the centre? And just in half, or into quarters?

reply

I don't cut them, but if I were to, diagonal seems most logical.

reply

Diagonal with standard loaf.

Across with a baguette

reply

I don't. I just eat the crust off first & then the rest. That's it.

I've never seen the point of cutting an ordinary sandwich in half unless it's for two small, light eaters (e.g., toddlers). A big sub/hoagie/hero type sandwich is easier to deal with when cut in half, but a Wonder Bread type sandwich is already small.

reply

When I want to pretend I have more, I cut them down the middle.

reply

Depends on the bread, and the fillings. I prefer the diagonal cut, but some bread is not suitable for a diagonal cut.

reply

I fold them.

reply

A slice of pizza, yes...but a sandwich??

That's how we do it over here:

reply

Well, that's one way to make half a sandwich :)

reply

Actually, there are two ways. In Belgium they apparently fold a sandwich like this:

That's just insane, though.

reply

They should stick to chocolate and waffles.

They are clueless.πŸ˜‘

I usually eat my sandwiches whole but if I do cut them in half I cut diagonally. Especially if it's a grilled cheese sandwich because it make it easier to dip it into a bowl of tomato soup.πŸ…

reply

Definitely. It's almost 7am here and now i want a cheese toastie and tomato soup πŸ˜„πŸ€€
