naw. at work when they make you a user id for logging in they take part of your first name and part of your last name to create an id. somehow his first and last name created JoWilli and the funny part was after some time had past everyone started calling him Jo Willi and they thought that was his name. lol this other guys name was Chasket. it was unintentional but funny. this one chick, her first and last name created Kuntsomething. it was even funnier.
yeah, its sad reminiscing about the past. I dont get it when people say they enjoy getting older. I think its BS. I would love to be 20 again.
I think the 70's, 80's and 90's all of their place in music history and lots of great music was created over that time. todays music is so bland and generic. I feel bad for kids.
Gotcha. I thought JoWilli may have been in tribute to Joe Willie Namath.
"yeah, its sad reminiscing about the past. I don't get it when people say they enjoy getting older. I think its BS. I would love to be 20 again."
Yeah, I think its trying to convince yourself you're better off as a old person. IMO - hey you can have it. I'm with you - give me any age between 19-30 years old. And let me stay there, LOL. Nothing good about getting old other than added wisdom.
"I think the 70's, 80's and 90's all of their place in music history and lots of great music was created over that time. todays music is so bland and generic. I feel bad for kids."
Yeah same page. Overall, Ill take 70s music. However, plenty of good stuff in the 80s/90s that still works today.
With the youngsters of today - well, one has to be open minded. I'm sure our parents thought our music was absurd as well.
I can see how people over 70 thought our music was absurd. they grew up with songs about holding hands and candy. at least music from the 70's , 80's to 90's was new and original. I have theorized that original music stopped being produced around 2010 or so. this coincides with growth of youtube and other online media. there is no reason to produce original music anymore when you can just copy the past and put on youtube and get a million views. now online culture is all about getting views. with stupid content like rolling tires down a hill. I could write a novel about this but I dont want to bore anyone.
Well, maybe so (no need to produce original music).
One can relate personally to copying and pasting. I have a friend - this person, at least 90% of what they say is copied and pasted.
So what does this mean? It means this person doesn't have to think. It means this person is not creating. It means this person is producing no original thoughts. Similar to your feelings about post 2010 music.
My parents were in their 40s in my heyday. It was 80s hair metal at that time. They thought it was ridiculous.
I'm in my 50s now, one agrees with their assessment.
Today's music, one can't intelligently conversate about it. I don't listen to it at all. No interest.
What you say though (no need for music to be original today) does make sense.
