Do you stay home when it gets too hot outside?

I just stay home and enjoy the A/C. I hate heat. Can't wait until September.

No - love summer. I went out for lunch Thursday and Friday and ate outside and most nights I have dinner on my patio.

I don't keep my house cold - only use the AC when its very humid - I like fresh air and fans.

reply

depends on how lazy i feel.

You're one of those "it's too hot to go to the beach" type?

reply

I hate the beach. Unless it's frozen over.

I've loved to live in Northern Canada or Alaska. I wouldn't mind it at all. I want to see the Arctic Ocean someday. :D

If you have enough money and know how things are done, I think you could do well in either location. You sound like the type who loves snow ;)

reply

I wish I could. :)

Is that a trick question? I've lived in several states where it gets very hot and humid in the summer. The area of CA I currently live in isn't humid, but it can still get miserably hot with heat waves in the summer. The only way to survive in all these locations is with an AC.

Texans even made it into an art form. Between April and October, people essentially spend most of their time in "air-conditioned boxes," AKA; their houses, their cars, inside stores, their workplaces (if they work indoors), schools, and wherever else people frequent during the hot months. It gets much easier between November and March.

I hear that if you want to get into the Trades, one way to make a fortune in a hot climate is to be an HVAC person.

Being too hot is a really weird strange concept in some parts of the world.
And actually paying fuel bills to make it colder! wild!

reply

I go outside in my loincloth.

reply

Can you please start wearing underpants at least? You are scaring everyone!

reply

What's underpants? Is that like a banana hammock?

reply

Boxers are the way to go.
No ball strangulation when you row out on your next raid.

reply

I usually strap them to one leg so you don't end up with a dangling dong.

reply

Gosh. That sounds painful!

Just freeball in boxers. A bit of swinging room helps.

Definitely did yesterday. The predicted high was 108F. It actually hit 109F and with the heat index, it reportedly felt like 114F. In the middle of the night, a severe thunderstorm was moving in with winds of 60mph in my area. I sat on my porch, drinking beer, watching the lightning, ominous storm approaching and savoring the absolute freshness of that cool wind. I slept well with my bedroom window open after that.
