If I had to describe "alt", it would be anything "alternative" like punk, rock, scene, goth, etc. It's popular among younger women.

Yes, I agree, but it feels like the "alts" have become the new normal. It's out of control. I want to go back to the old normal for a while. The normal normal.

Sure it existed. There is always some norm. It's what the majority of people look like, what they wear, their haircuts, the way they speak, etc. Wasn't there a particular look in say the late 90's. If you think of the mainstream fashion, what do you picture? Did those people look goth or "alt" like these people in the pictures? Of course there are subcultures but those are not mainstream.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I respect your point of view, I just disagree. My humor is not for the faint of heart. But there are people here who enjoy it and so I do it for them.
I still like you and hope you change your mind about interacting with me. I like your posts and think you're a swell guy.

like 30 years ago alt was grunge music, and post-hardcore. "Alt" looks very different 20 years ago to what it is now
