It even comes up in how people treat me, now, without fear, in how they relay messages, but it's not as bad in Cleveland as it is in Orlando. People just want to say they didn't lie and say they had no problems with my race. Still, some people say they aren't really racist, so there'd be people for me to talk to and I wouldn't be considered weird, or left out.
Mostly, my mom is Asian, "Chinese," "Chinese Indonesian." My genealogy test popped out its guess and changed the results. There was maybe like 3% Vietnamese, Filipino, and Taiwanese. There might be Indonesian, but my mom said not.
My dad's mom's side said we might / "have a little of something" like sounded like Italian, but I'm not prejudice myself, like 1%, and it seems the rest of my family didn't believe it was Native American indian like me overall/mostly. It was 3% at Ancestry.com, I think. I know some people said it was in some other maybe surrounding countries, but I dunno or if it matters if it's supposedly a different race of Middle Eastern or something at least. I wonder if it's more different than Turkey or Greece. I like Eastern Europe and Russia, but what's up with them saying they are "better?" Sometimes, people from other countries are cool.
Yes and no. Personally it doesn't bother me if there are children who are mixed race, but the only thing I worry about is in the future, there aren't going to be many people who are 100% of a single race if we continue down an excessive path. I'll be long dead at that point though.
Some races mix to get close to other races, like being German and Dutch to get closer to your French roots. I don't know how I got Italian, maybe they didn't know they were different races back then?
But it is important that all races exist as long as they can. It would be terrible if Nigeria started becoming majority white. There's nothing wrong with wanting to preserve race and culture.
Who brought up hate? You shouldn't hate anyone.
I brought up hate.
I dont hate anyone and I'm not saying you do.
Dont you see how thats relevent to my point and the discussion as a whole?
It would be terrible if Nigeria started becoming majority white.
They wouldnt become "majority white" , like some kind of south africa stlye aparteid war
Everyone would just become a some shade of brown and the concept of saying "you black , me white " etc ( the whole concept of race) would disappear.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to preserve race and culture.
Culture yes ,
Race no
why do you want to preserve "race" specifically ?
what good will it do ?
what good does it do now having different races ?
We are the same species after all.
So everyone should be the same race to solve problems? By that logic, everyone should be 100% identical automatons. You will be assimilated. There. Problem solved.
Not really. There has been discussions here in Canada within indigenous communities that there have been too many natives marrying white people and they have become concerned that their bloodlines will soon be non-existent. A controversial law exists to protect that. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/may/02/canada-first-nations-mohawk-kahnawake-rule
Putting the legislation aside, there are a lot of native communities here that frown on marrying white people because they fear they are losing their heritage.
That's more about cultural loss than race, which may seem pedantic but is significantly different. I thought you were arguing that no one will 'look' 100% Black, Indigenous, White, etc. However, the fear of losing cultural aspects is more understandable.
Preserving culture can still occur when people of different races marry, but it is difficult when one of the partners belongs to a larger and more culturally influential race. That's what the article you linked to talks about.
Hahaha. Christina is a gem. I've known her for like 15 years from IMDb. The big question has always been, is she trolling or is she for real? I'm 90% that she's the real deal. But I have my 10% doubts.
Very intelligent. But thinks differently than most people.
She's Eurasian and is a bit conflicted about race.
Most people see race as being skin colour alone. There are different races among people of similar or same skin tone as well. For example, English, Scottish and Irish are all different races.
People get excited by "I am half Black, half Asian" or "Half Asian, half white" etc there is more to it than that.
I think social engineering is a problem when the majority of people are attracted to their own kind. Watch any reality TV dating show and you'll see it has a White lead with a good number of black contestants.
