You genuinely have no idea what I am interested in entertainment. I watch plenty of shows that have villainous, dark or anti-hero protagonists. I *like* darker worlds full of morally grey characters because I find them more interesting. I'd obviously hate to live in a dystopian or post-apocalyptic world, but they make great basis for storytelling.

He also did extrajudicial killings all the time. At its core, Takeshi Kovacs was killing people just as much as a protagonist in an action movie as referenced by the OP might.

I also liked Man in the High Castle, you know, where a main character was a literal nazi. And two others were government officials of Imperial Japan.
