What is something that is clearly overpriced yet people still buy?

Well. since getting into trucking, I've found that a lot of truck parts are ridiculous. I needed a front shock bolt that had a groove worn into it and from Peterbilt, it's $370.00!! I welded the groove back up and ground it back to round on my bench grinder. Voila! Perfecto!

Oh, and diesel fuel! It's way cheaper to make than gasoline and costs more. Not fun since these trucks get between 5 and 8 miles per gallon.

Wireless earphones.

- Bottled water: a plastic bottle that costs less than 1 cent to produce filled with stuff that literally falls from the sky on a regular basis in most parts of the world, and it often costs as much or more than a bottle of soda or beer.

- Anything sold by Gucci (and probably other so-called "luxury brands"), for example, a pennies-to-produce screen-printed T-shirt for $1,650:

- Any new bicycle that costs over $500 (some of them cost more than some new motorcycles, which is obviously absurd).

- Saladmaster cookware.

- Gasoline.

- Doctor / hospital services.
