Horror. Really creepy ghost stories most of all (the kind where the hairs on your arm suddenly stand on end), but I love pretty much all horror. Other than 'folk horror'. That tends to bore me.

... is what I enjoy the most out of the horror genre, but they are very hard to come by.
I do like a good biopic or costume drama. But really, it's easier for me to list the genres I don't particularly care for, horror and westerns come to mind.
shareI like costume dramas, too. Westerns are okay, but not my favorite, of course.
shareI agree with you about horror. But the classic ones from the 1930s aren't really that scary, so I except them from my general dislike of horror. And some of the British ones with the likes of Christopher Lee or Peter Cushing aren't too frightening either and can be fun to watch.
shareI will broaden my pick to say historical drama. For example Braveheart is a historical drama but no one is going to call it a costume drama. But I do like costume drama, don't misunderstand.
