Weird things you like.
I've been trying to make my diet 50% plant based. I'm kind of weirded out that I really like mushroom based Jerky. It's good!

shareI've never seen mushroom based jerky. Where do you buy this?
shareI would think any store that sold organic or vegan foods would carry it. Here are some brand names:

Or you can make your own: https://hasslefreevegan.com/wprm_print/4457
I need to look into plant-based jerkys, and I like mushrooms, but all I seem to see around here is dried flavored jackfruit and I'm not a huge fan of dried fruit.
Tonight's snack for my job with weird hours is apple chips and almonds, dried baked crunch apple chips. Those are tasteeeeeee, and the almonds provide a bit of sugar-free fat and protein (incomplete proteins, but with the grains and legumes in my main meal that'll make complete proteins).
Are you sure you wouldn’t prefer some delicious M&Ms for a snack?
shareWhat, the caramel corn I'm bringing for desert isn't enough sugar for one shift?
Which, BTW, is a fabulously tasty plant-based dessert or snack, as long as nobody used real butter in the caramel. And what commercial entity does.
sticking pointy things in my ear and digging wax out.
Cream cheese between two Triscuits.
shareThat's delicious.
Half the things people have listed aren't even weird at all.
I've been really into learning about cars lately, and I guess that's weird for me since I never cared about them before. I want to learn the names and years just by looking at them. I at least want to be a little more knowledgeable.
I've also suddenly been getting back into musicals. I've always loved them but as of late I want to rewatch and enjoy them all over again; listen to all the songs.
Cow Tongue is Amazing!!
shareMost people are pansies and will never try it. I read a book on Lewis and Clark and the bison tongue was one of their favorite cuts on the animal.
shareYeah it really is one of the best cuts. I prefer it to filet mignon. There is a badass Russian Deli I frequent whenever in Miami that sells it cooked. Whenever I am down there I get 5-10$ worth of the stuff a day. It can also be found in Authentic Mexican Restaurants in California and Texas as a taco or burrito meat option. Its called Lengua in Spanish. Such a tasty and soft meat, one of my favorite foods
shareThere's a good authentic Mexican place that serves it here in MA - a little gem of a restaurant. I limit myself to it only a few times a year because I'm one of those poor schmucks susceptible to gout lol.
sharejust googled it "Organ meats (sweetbreads, liver, tongue) are particularly high in purines, which can increase your uric acid levels and spur a gout attack. Red meats (beef, venison, bison) in general are higher in purines than white meats and should be eaten only occasionally." never knew this would risk ur chances of gout. I have to be careful since I love meat
shareMeat is meat. Does it really matter if it's the thigh, stomach, brain or tongue...no.
shareI agree, but many people are turned off by anything "weird." I caught a 28 inch striper last week and roasted the head. Theres a surprising amount of meat in there, which is collagen rich and extremely tender.
shareyellow tail collar is my favorite sushi treat. There's not a lot I wouldn't eat. I'd say if something looks too human then it would be tough...eyeballs etc.
shareYes, exactly! Those are some of the most tender and flavorful parts.
Eyeballs might be a tough sell for me though. Any of the bits I don't use or aren't edible get buried in my veggie garden as a source of fertilizer.
