Name a mediocre movie with a GREAT cast

What's a film that wastes a wonderful cast, in your opinion.

I just rewatched How Do You Know (2010) for the first time since it came out & it's still one of the dullest films I've ever watched.

It's not bad, it's just uninteresting. Which is a shame cause it's from the director of Terms of Endearment (1983), Broadcast News (1987) and As Good as it Gets (1997). 3 really good films imo.

And it stars Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, Kathryn Hahn & Jack Nicholson (in his last role I believe)

And for a "comedy", it just falls flat.

Crystal Skull. Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and John Hurt wasted in a bad movie.

Movie 43 instantly came to mind. I can’t remember a movie that completely swung and missed with as many movie stars attached to it.

Watching that movie was like watching a movie where its cast lost a bet, and was forced to be in the movie.

I referred to Movie 43 above, but I've always taken *mediocre* to mean 'below average' rather than absolutely excruciatingly awful.

To be completely fair, Movie 43 did get a few chuckles out of me, but it really is a catastrophe when you consider how many highly acclaimed names are attached to it (in front, and behind, the camera).

It definitely felt like a high school after school project with friends, and the names behind the project should have known better. It’s insulting when you’re aware of how monumentally better those names are capable of.

This is the kind of material that would have been charming had it been a “how did these guys start out?” kind of documentary, but is supremely embarrassing as a currently active display of their talents.

Watched that movie in high school. I remember thinking "wtf am I even watching" the whole time.

Also, it's too freaking long!

The "Cannonball Run" movies (including "Speed Zone"), I think they're great, but probably seen as mediocre. But awesome cast:

Those movies were like live action Wacky Races but somehow not really that entertaining.
