Grow up city for life. Now I'm tired of people and love the quiet country side.

I’ve experienced both and I much prefer the country. It’s quieter, darker at night, has much more space, the real estate is affordable and schools are very good around here.

shareI grew up in mostly big cities or their suburbs. I dream of living in the quiet countryside, but at my age I don't think it's a good idea. I worry most about access to medical care or being stranded after a blizzard. However, I now live in a small city (about 70K population). It has worked out well. I no longer have to deal with big city problems such as traffic congestion and crowds. Rush hour here lasts about 20 minutes. It's a much more walkable place than where I lived before. Crime is nothing compared to what one finds in a large metro area.

But the barn is like a 'Hoarders' situation, stacked with VCRs and DVD players, and shelves and crates and piles of tapes and discs.
THE BARN IS MUCH MORE MODERN AND FINISHED AND THE HOUSE TOO...I HAVE NEIGHBORS ON ALL SIDES AS WELL...BUT THAT'S FAIRLY CLOSE OTHERWISE.
