Which 90s song gives you the most nostalgia feelings?

For me, "Only Wanna Be with You" by Hootie & the Blowfish. The music video makes me feel even more nostalgic.

"WONDERWALL" BY OASIS.

Champagne Supernova is one of many that will hit me with a gut punch.

PETER MAYO AND I SPENT THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR TIME FRESHMAN YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL MEMORIZING THAT ALBUM.

reply

Kowalski--Are you Madferit?! ;)

reply

I AM KOWALSKI...THAT IS ENOUGH.

I listened to a lot of grunge, being a hard rock fan.

SMells like teen spirit by Nirvana might give me the most nostalgia, since I associate it so much with teh 90s and herad their songs so often back then.

reply

It's gotta be "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette - I just remember that song being everywhere, practically soaking into the fabric of the era itself. I can't really think of the 90s without recalling this song.

Her entire 'Jagged Little Pill' album was amazing, and definitely a pillar of 90's music.

'Hand in My Pocket' is the one that gets me most nostalgic, though. My older sister played that on a loop in our house for like a year, lol.

reply

That's understandable. Jagged Little Pill was definitely one of the albums of the 90s, for sure. I personally just found Ironic to be more pervasive.

reply

Ironic is STILL everywhere though. Also, love the music video.

Interstate Love Song - STP

That takes me back. "Leaving on a southern train, only yesterday you lied". And Big Empty was used on the Crow soundtrack. I was annoyed when I saw how they used it in the movie. Just in the background of a scene with those of the bad guys driving and only part of the chorus.

reply

Yes, that's another good one. The whole record is pretty amazing.

Weezer - Say It Ain't So
Spice Girls - Wannabe
Master P - Make Em Say Uhhhh
Bone Thugs - Crossroads
Marilyn Manson - Lunchbox
Nofx - Linoleum
The Offspring - Self Esteem
Natalie Imbruglia - Torn
Bush - Comedown
Pras - Ghetto Superstar
Britney Spears - Hit Me Baby One More Time

I was addicted to MTV in the 90s.

reply

Torn, Hit Me Baby One more time, and Wannabe seemed to be everywhere, but I remember liking Say It Ain't So, Undone, Buddy Holly, (so many good Weezer songs) much better. Offspring were great (at that time) and Bush (at least to start with) were good.

reply

Don't get me wrong, I can't say I actually LIKED Britney Spears and Spice Girls... but at the same time, I secretly did. My girlfriend in 6th grade was obsessed with them, a convenient excuse. But the nostalgia can't be denied.

reply

Hold My Hand was such a huge hit for them. That first album was a smash hit and then nothing. Last I heard their singer was doing country music.
