It seems fucked up and dysfunctional this whole trial. It's sad how Depp's career has suffered because of this. He will probably get the OJ treatment and be casted as a pariah in Hollywood.

I like Depp's acting and he seems like a decent human despite being a mess. She's a vindictive liar and a mediocre talent. I hope to see Depp in mainstream, studio movies again.
It was interesting for me, listening to him recount how he got into acting. It was quite by chance, and at the urging of his then buddy, Nicolas Cage, who thought he had potential. That intuitive insight obviously turned out to be spot on. Depp was a musician in a band that had broken up and his aspirations were to hit it big in that industry. He took Cage's advice out of desperation. It was a means of feeding himself and paying the rent.
shareMy opinion is that they are both really fucked up. Those who say that Depp has never had any instances of violence don't remember late 80s early 90s Depp who assaulted a hotel security guard, also trashed a hotel room, he also threatened paparazzi (Can't really blame him there, but...). He was sued by bodyguards for violence, and a location manager on a set for an attack. So...take that as you will. He does have a long history of substance abuse.
As for Heard, well, I think she is manipulative and knew exactly what sort of buttons to push. Do I think Depp hit her? I don't know. I don't think that he would have just whacked her, but I think he could have hit her in a reactionary way.
I think that they deserve each other. I'm not sure that I think that Depp should have lost work for the Heard situation, the drug/ alcohol abuse maybe. I do think that his career will rebound, and I hope he wins some cash to counter that loss of work. But it's also difficult to feel sorry for him after that Rolling Stone Interview and seeing how much of his money he's just blown on alcohol.
Depp to me comes off as having done a lot of drugs in his life and has suffered mental illness/damage due to it. They asked what films he has done and he could only name Alice in Wonderland, he went onto say he doesn't watch his own films which is fine but to not be able to name a few?
I don't know much about Amber but she does come off as rather highly strung and would be able to piss off anyone.
From what I've been reading Depp is winning the war of public opinion. I think overall people are getting tired of women always claiming victim status.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Amber is the victim here, but I don't think that Depp is the innocent man everyone seems to be claiming that he is.
I also think that most women who claim to be victims are.
Opinions about Depp's life aside, he deserves justice. Amber Turd claimed abuse in the midst of the "Me Too" movement and then it turned out she was the abuser. What's even worse, she was caught on tape telling Depp no one would believe him because he's a man.

He seems totally ravaged by drug use and she seems like a bitch.
It's like watching a WW2 movie about the Eastern Front, no good guys.
