Official Media Purchases Thread 📼 📀 💽

It looks like Kowalski had a good recent haul so here’s what I’ve got so far this year.

Has anyone else made any good physical media purchases?

I just preordered Oppenheimer (2023) from Amazon, which will be released on November 21st.
I ordered the Blu-ray, which also includes a DVD of the film.
Because I don't have 4K capability, I decided to pass on that option.

Found these three at a thrift shop yesterday, all for $3.00 each:

The Colony (2013)
The Fall (2006)
The Fountain (2006)

and I just realized they all start with the word "the".

Except For Titane ($20), Hocus Pocus ($5) and Shutter ($5), I paid these 1$ each.

Nice haul Amigo.
Of those I only saw Zombie Strippers, the Fridays and Frantic. They were all good ones, though I personally call Frantic 'Mildly Perturbed.' Harrison Ford didn't seem all that frantic that his wife was missing, he just seemed puzzled really. What guy wouldn't break knees and burn down the whole fucking town if his wife went missing?!?

Last night's MCMC was a hit Bro, let's shake the foundation and raise the roof again tonight!

Just ordered two old John Cusack films from the '80s on DVD from Amazon as well as a four film comedy collection.
The Cusack films are Better Off Dead (1985) and One Crazy Summer (1986), both directed by Savage Steve Holland.
The package set is titled, Comedy Greats Spotlight Collection and includes ...
National Lampoon's Animal House (1978)
The Blues Brothers (1980)
The Jerk (1979) and
Car Wash (1976)
These four films only cost $6.99 for the complete DVD package.
That averages to $1.75 for each of the four films, which almost feels like I'm stealing them.

The classics and at an amazing price. 👍

Just added one more film from the '80s to today's purchases, and that is the DVD of,
Murphy's Romance (1985) with Sally Field and James Garner.

Kowalski's '3 Favorite Films with Paul Newman' post inspired me to buy Blu-rays of
Cool Hand Luke (1967) and The Sting (1973),
both of which arrived yesterday from Amazon.
