FACT: My property is more important than the lives of any thugs attempting to steal or destroy it.
Prove me wrong.
shareProve me wrong.
shareI agree with you. We work for what we have and the idea some thug just gets to take it because they are thugs is not right at all. Not to mention they may just decide to bash or kill you for it just for laughs.
shareI bet you loved "Straw Dogs" (1971) and what Dustin Hoffman's character does to those intruders at the end (putting aside at LEAST the movie's one "you know which" controversial aspect, even if OTHER disturbing themes AND scenes of VIOLENCE there, especially by early 70s standards, were also present), and remember his quote - "I will not allow violence against this house".
shareI LOVE IT...I SAY THAT LINE A LOT.
shareIn Russia, we also have a saying - "My house is my castle" ("Moy dom, moya krepost" - "Мой дом моя крепость") -

How can someone prove your opinion as wrong?
While your property might be more important to you than someone else's life, others will not feel that your property is more important. They may feel that their property is more important.
They may also feel that killing someone isn't actually something they would do over a material item. Perhaps protecting themselves or a loved one, sure, but over something insured like a car? Or a tv? Maybe not.
I AGREE.
shareThat's not my job.
My job is to protect my shit from shit thieves.
LOL
I suppose the follow up question should be would you be prepared to die to defend your property?
shareI am 100% pro 2nd amendment but, in my opinion, someone destroying or stealing my personal property is not worth taking a life for. If you do it’s a decision you’ll be living the rest of your life with.
