shareI won't kill an intruder on purpose but I cannot have a sit down with them and find out how their life is troubled. They want to come steal from me? I fuck them up bad ... I hope they don't die but they might. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Now if I am certain they wish my wife harm, I kill them.
So to answer the OP question: Lives are indeed worth more than property. However, consequences of actions often result in that poor value trade-off.
