Do you think Michael Jackson was overrated?
I'd argue that Prince was more talented as he played far more instruments. The only category MJ has Prince beat is his dancing. MJ was a better dancer but that's it.

sharei think it's not fair to compare the two artists.
disagree that MJ is "overrated" i have most of his discography (including The Jackson 5) and to me the talent is there above and beyond
Nowhere near as overrated as Madonna. At least MJ single-handedly wrote a lot of his biggest hits by himself. Madonna needed all the help she could get.
Madonna doesn’t even have a decent voice.
shareUgh. Madonna. I don't understand the fuss about her. At least, MJ had some talent. She's an aging whore.
shareWhat singing? Madonna was just a girl who came to a magazine be photographed naked. That's all she did.
shareFor pure musical talent, I'd definitely go with Prince. He'd sometimes play everything on a track. like Paul McCartney.
sharecertainly he wasn't as deeply talented in prince, who was a true once in a generation talent, every kind of musical talent imaginable rolled up into one 5'2 imp of the perverse.
but i don't think that makes him overrated at all.
Yep he was nothing special but had all the hype behind him as well as making overly long music videos for MTV.
sharenot over-rated, but i could rarely stand listening to the squeaking mewling creep.
shareNo, I do not think so. Speaking about the artist he was really a number one.
shareI couldn't stand listening to MJ's singing. He had a very whiny, nasal voice and I felt like shooting the boom box my dance class teacher used when we did different kinds of dancing. Never understood his appeal.
