Do you think Michael Jackson was overrated?
I'd argue that Prince was more talented as he played far more instruments. The only category MJ has Prince beat is his dancing. MJ was a better dancer but that's it.

No, I do not think so.
shareNo, not in his prime. You take him around the time of "Thriller" and he was great.
Interestingly enough, I think "Off the Wall" has aged better musically.
When we get to "Bad" - I don't like his sound at that point - plus he was starting to get too weird.
But yeah, you take 1982,83,84 - the guy was great. At the top of his game - not overrated at all.
He's overrated from my perspective, because I don't like his music, and the only people I like to watch dance are attractive women, e.g., Elena Cruz, Sofia Alengoz, Magga Braco.
shareHe was a great performer but in the 80s he was one of those people that you had to constantly hear about day after day so it tended to make me sick of him.
