Have you even gotten into a band because you heard their song from a movie?

For me it was The Wanton Bishops. I heard one of their songs in the movie "Horns" (2013) -- don't watch it, it's bad, and that's when I got into the band.

the punk band FEAR from Nightmares (1983)
emilio estevez blasting punk music while playing 80s arcade machines.

Horns wasnt that bad except the sfx at the end were ungodly awful. but i kinda liked the concept.

The concept of Horns wasn't bad, just poorly executed.

i can't quite remember the film, but i was never big on The Doors until i heard "riders on the storm" in that one scene

and now i really enjoy their music

Blaqk Audio. An instrumental of their music was used for the trailer for the American remake of The Eye, with Jessica Alba.

Blaqk Audio then led me to listening to AFI religiously.
