Hallmark films are all the same

I just watched “Christmas at Coyote Creek” when I realised that they used that same plot in about 50 films before lol I mean they are an easy watch when you are bored but do you think they care about how noticeable it is that they recycle the same story lines again and again and again for their films ? Hallmark really makes the movie equivalent of fast food!

reply

They keep cranking out easily-produced formulaic films because they need to fill up their year-round schedule of Christmas movies. It was bad enough when they did "Christmas in July." Now I've been seeing this stuff listed during every month of the year. Does anyone actually watch this?

December 1st is early enough to be showing these films. Broadcasting a Christmas movie in the middle of the miserable hot summer cheapens the experience of what should be a special time of year.

I'm no fan either, but there are a lot of Hallmark Movie fans around here👀! For real, a lot of these otherwise fine MC people watch these Grandma movies!

They are dumb, boring movies, most seem to be about a stupid Holiday or a shitty marriage getting back on track or some kind of dull family turmoil and everything winds up just fine by the end

No shootouts, no car chases, no boobs...I'm not sure these Hallmark Movies can even be called movies!

reply

Officially on ignore.

reply

I anticipated this🙄

reply

I constipated this

reply

I nominated this

reply

I watch them even though they're all terrible.

reply

Me too

reply

This is just #17 on the 100 Things I Hate About You list...

reply

Me three

reply

All superheroes movies also have the same plot.

reply

No, this is when we draw swords friend😡

Peter Parker got bitten by a radioactive spider, Tony Stark built an amazing armored flying suit, Thor is the son of Odin, the King Of Asgard, Captain America is a U.S. Army chemical experiment and Black Widow is sexy as hell in that outfit while she kicks dudes in the face

Totally different man

Superhero movies RULE, Hallmark Movies drool🤘

reply

Hey, the lead in one Christmas film goes back to her small town in North Dakota. The lead in another Christmas film goes back to her small town in Tennessee. The lead in another Christmas film goes back to her small town in Colorado.

Way different.

reply

😤
Fine, we dig different stupid movies, let's call it a draw lol

reply

Ok, what do we draw?

reply

Pretty pictures is what we will draw

The sort of art that only legendary artists can do, like that Amedio Modigliani guy or that other great guy Toulouse Lautrec

I'm not sure I spelled those weird European names correctly, but fuck it, I brought crayons and paper👍

reply

I thought you were talking about drawing a bath.

reply

How can we possibly draw on paper in a bathtub?

Wait, why are we taking a bath?!?

Never mind all of that, just grab a crayon, This is all about the ART!

reply

Sometimes, the lead is a he.

Sometimes the lead doesn't go back to her own home town. She's a city girl with a career, and vacations in a small town and finds love and the true meaning of Christmas!!! 🤣🤣

reply

I also love when there's a girl who meets a man, and then randomly bumps into him 3 more times before he decides to help her throw that last minute Christmas party.

reply

Not all Hallmark films are the same. Some of them do have different storylines.

reply

Lifetime does the same thing. Woman meets nice guy. Turns out the guy is not so nice. Woman kills him in the end.

reply

Haha That is true too

reply

Not sure if it was Lifetime but I remember the one where Farrah Fawcett set her bed on fire to kill her dickhead husband

The guy pretty much had it coming....

😃
Holy shit, you just uncovered the script for every Hallmark movie ever!

***Spoilers dude, C'mon!!!

reply

I don't watch Hallmark movies, but that is brilliant 😊

reply

That's hillarious! But I don't get the "with the wrong guy" box tho' (first column.)

reply

The only Hallmark movie I ever liked was one with Mary Louise Parker in the late 90s. I think it was just on regular network TV at the time and not their own channel.

reply

One of my favourite movies is a Hallmark film. ' Love Comes Softly ' (2003). Lovely story, great cast, beautiful film.
