How much gore or torture in films/shows can you handle?

Are you cool with it? Or are you squeamish & unable to handle those kinda scenes in films/shows?

Personally, I'm cool with decapitations & most torture scenes. With the exception of cannibalism, removing finger nails during torture & sticking nails or sharp sticks up one's fingers. Or anything to do with eyes. Those make me squirm. Probably a few others I'm forgetting.

I'm also cool with a couple of slasher films but it's the "torture porn'' genre that I'm NOT into. Like the Saw movies (Except the first one) & the hostel movies. I don't hate 'em, they're just not my thing.

Except i do hate them, as far as one can hate a movie , i just ignore them.

It doesn’t bother me too much.

All of it I guess. Movie gore has never really had much effect on me. I'm always more intrigued by how they manage to pull off effects on screen. I'm much more disturbed by watching real people beat each other to death on the street.

I remember this lame gimmick from way back when. The scenes in question were actually very tame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwrHydY8uGQ

i stay away from those types of movies

I avoid things that overtly feature explicit and drawn out violence. For me, to create and indulge in these sorts of images comes from a very dark place, and I'd rather ponder how the flowers grow.
