I would say Michael Jackson. It came out of nowhere especially with his sold-out tour. Oh, and Aaliyah with the plane crash back in 2001 (a mere few weeks before 9/11). Also, John Ritter back in 2003.

Another one is Robin Williams. That man has entertained & brought so much joy to my life. The way he died is what shocked me the most.
I just turned on the news & then boom, The news of his suicide. Genuinely broke my heart that someone who brought joy to so many people went through that & went out like that. May he RIP.
